Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
2. A paragraph is the minimal unit of draft that explains and develops the meaning
of an idea. A paragraph generally has three parts: the principal sentence , the
argumentative sentences and the conclusive sentence; all of them contain the
same key word or key idea that controls the information in the rest of the
paragraph. A paragraph is a set of lines that develop an idea and is separated by
a point and new paragraph. It can contain several sentences distinguished by
points or by points and commas and constitutes the vertebral column of a text.
3. Dialogue Paragraph :
The composed dialogue paragraph consists of a dialog created by
two people who interact between and they begin a conversation.

4. Paragraph of Enumeration :
This type of paragraph is characterized

is the major characteristic of this type of
paragraph.
7. Relative paragraph:
As his name indicates it, this paragraph
presents his argument of a relative way, that
is to say, there is neither a concrete
conclusion, but it is possible to decide from
different variables. The scientists use very
much these paragraphs at the moment of
realizing his tests, since they can depart
from an idea and take it to different
conclusions as deductions and investigations
realized by these.
8. Narrative paragraph:
This type of paragraphs is use for
narrating a fact, event or history. In
general it is revealed in the literary
works, in the articles or texts of histories
and in cases of the past that need to be
extracted to the light.
9. Argumentative paragraphs:
this kind of paragraphs exposes the
arguments in a persuasive way to induce
the reader to a favorable decision by
means of the writer or author. The
argumentative paragraphs are use for
debating in general an idea or
problematics in order to present clear
and precise arguments, and for leading
to the recipient to a behavior.
10. Chronological paragraph:
Like his name establishes it, the
chronological paragraph exposes facts
and events of way arranged with his
respective dates in those who happened.
11. Descriptive paragraphs:
As his name indicates it, there describe a
thing, situation, fact or person, in a clear
and precise way.
12. Summary paragraph :
Also known as French paragraph, this
type of paragraph is in use often in texts
of dictionaries, bibliographical
information and texts where they find
indexes in order alphabetical. This
paragraph is characterized because all his
lines contain a bleeding except the first
line, which it does not contain.
13. Conceptual paragraph :
This type of paragraph extracts to the

of the text.

Ordinary paragraph :
These paragraphs contain indentation

indentation realizes the work of
dividing or recognizing when it is only,
the paragraphs in a text. this type of
paragraph is known as Spanish or
normal paragraph.
15. Explanatory paragraph:
This paragraph is use for explaining
something, removes a topic of a such
way that the reader catches with facility
what the author has exposed.
Modern paragraph :
This type of paragraph is characterized
by the discrimination of the
indentation. Another characteristic is
that contains a line of space when it
contains separation of two paragraphs
that are constant. This one also is
known as German paragraph or
paragraph in block.
16. Closing Paragraph:
These paragraphs expose a conclusion
and a final verdict of the topic or central
idea contained in the text. In general,
there is rounded what is the argument
principal and removed again, but in a
more summarized way. The intention is
give a feed back to the recipient and to
close the text.
Inductive paragraph :
The intentional idea of the author is
placed at the end of paragraph. In
general, it starts by describing the
intention, fixing the parameter and
establishing the different paradigms,
until the end it reveals the questions,
about what was speaking in the
complete paragraph.
