Compliance: The Digital Imperative in Financial ServicesAppian
If you think financial services compliance is already too costly, brace yourself. It’s going to get worse…much worse. Regulatory compliance, the demands of KYC (Know Your Customer) and EDD (Enhanced Due Diligence) all continue to be top of mind for every financial service executive, and for good reason.

Secure Your Enterprise Data Now and Be Ready for CCPA in 2020Delphix
With the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) going into effect in 2020, organizations must comply with a new set of sweeping provisions designed to protect the privacy of consumer data. Organizations inside and outside of the state must assess their exposure to CCPA, then quickly transform how they process, share, and protect sensitive data.
How can companies respond to these challenges and implement big data security changes?
Some IT security managers said that remote work will become the top issue that needs to be resolved in cybersecurity work in 2021.
What big data security challenges will companies face in 2021?
How can companies implement big data security changes to solve these challenges?
A "Data Security Survey Report 2020" was released recently, which is the largest data security survey. 83 IT security department managers participated in this survey. Among other things, the report also predicted the biggest challenge to big data security in 2021. So how do companies respond to these challenges and implement big data security changes?
Privacy is a topic that inevitably emerges whenever people speak about technology or business. What is it, really? How can you build a program to support it and balance it within our businesses? This session will cover the basics of a privacy program for organisations, some of the more applicable regulations on privacy, how to find the right balance and how to begin to implement your program. We will also discuss how to position your privacy program as a business enabler, establish some lightweight internal governance processes as well as customer and employee communications and awareness, too. Bring your questions and cases to review and analyse.
Though now nascent, quantum science could have significant implications for national security. By taking simple pragmatic steps today, government leaders can prepare their organizations for the coming quantum future.

Slides: Empowering Data Consumers to Deliver Business ValueDATAVERSITY
Today, the role of Chief Data Officers and their teams has expanded from risk and compliance-based activities to delivering business value through trusted data. With the exponential growth in data and data consumers throughout an organization, ensuring that everyone gets the information that they need — and that it can be relied upon — is no small feat. CDOs need to rely on modern Data Governance leaders to discover where all of the data lives, define the context, measure the quality, ensure privacy, and then democratize data to empower the rest of the organization. Join us for this informative webinar as we highlight the challenges of today’s data leaders, how they can democratize trusted, secure data, and ultimately discover how to deliver business value.

Many organizations are struggling to figure out how to move ahead with strategic use of data and insights to grow their business. A solid Analytics Strategy seems to elude them. Which tools are right for them?
In this presentation, Ken Raetz will address each of these concerns, outlining a simple, yet functional strategy to building a team and growing the use of analytics in their organization. You will learn:
1. Why centralizing analytics in IT doesn’t work.
2. The roles IT and business play in analytics
3. Selecting tools and processes for analytics
4. Building highly functional teams
5. Partnering with outside vendors to augment team and accelerate early work
6. Analytics Adoption – How to ensure the strategy of analytics continues forward in the years to come

Fair data economy in a nutshell
• Data has become the world’s most valuable raw material, but only a few can use it to the
full. Currently, personal data is used under unfair rules
• Sitra’s IHAN project lays a foundation for a fair data economy, in which successful digital
services are based on trust and create value for everyone
• In the fair data economy data is shared between different parties with individuals' consent in
a seamless and transparent way. People use services that improve their well-being and
everyday life, companies achieve growth through innovation, and the well-being of society
increases
• Vision is that Europe has a well-functioning data market, where companies that use data
responsibly and open-mindedly succeed with smart services

CSR encompasses data – why is this important?
• Over two years ago the GDPR set a new standard for the protection of personal data
• There is a lack of adequate ways for companies to prove they are operating in an ethical manner in using
customer data AND
• Individuals and customers lack ways to distinguish trustworthy digital businesses and tools that reinforce data
sovereignty
• CSR, data privacy and trust are increasingly important for companies in differentiating in the market
• Companies do not yet make an explicit link between privacy and sustainable use of data
• BUT focusing on managing data securely and transparently will drive value for business
• Greater efficiency
• Greater possibilities for innovation through responsible data sharing
• Greater customer trust
