famous fable writers of all
time. It is said that he lived
between 620 BC and 564 BC.
Even though he lived a lone
time ago, his fables still
apply to life today.

Fables are short literary accounts in
verse or in prose that have animals as
characters.
They narrate an incident from which a
lesson may be learned, especially
about responding to tempting
situations.
Most fables have a saying or proverb
which indicates the lesson that the
fable wants to put across.

In this performance task, you will create an
original fable that incorporates the key
characteristics of fables, including
anthropomorphic characters and a moral lesson.
Please create your own fable and publish it in a
children's picture book. Please feel free to use
whatever material you want for your book. The
dimensions should be 5 by 5 inches. You should
color it and draw the pictures yourself. I will not
permit any digital images to be printed on the story
book. EVERYTHING SHOULD BE MADE BY YOU.
