The student learned several skills in progressing from their preliminary media project to the full product. For the preliminary, they made mistakes like filming from a high angle instead of eye level, but learned from that. They improved subtle uses of keyframes and dip to black transitions. Their thinking changed throughout the process as they discovered challenges of a large cast and limited filming locations. Overall, they gained experience with editing, continuity, and fulfilling genre conventions to complete their teen movie.

This allowed us to look at what themes recurred in all the films and their trailers highlighting what we must include in ours. From the other points, the ‘best -bits’ could be picked in then put in the trailer out of chronological order to entice the audience.
