The pilot project "Flush Shower and Go" was officially launched in Matsangoni trade center in Kilifi county, Kenya. The project involved building toilets and showers using recycled materials from an old public toilet building. The community worked hard together over the course of construction, which was halfway completed within two days due to their efforts. They were proud to have jobs and help with the project. Ultimately, the building was finished with two shower stalls, two toilets, two basins, and mirrors for both men and women. It opened officially on May 12, 2014 with approval from local government, and aims to improve sanitation for residents of Matsangoni.
