14. Sum is the result of adding two or more numbers.

15. Math is the number one subject you will need in the future.

16. Adding 2 Digit The only difference to adding 2 digit numbers compared to adding 1 digit numbers is one more additional step. Adding 2 digits you start adding right to left. Below is an example of how to add two digit numbers. 32 +43 2+3=5 3+4=7 So.. 75 32+43=75

18. If you have 5 apples and you subtract 2, your total is then 3.

19. 5-2=3

21. You subtract from right to left.

22. Sometimes when your top number is not high enough to subtract, then you have to take one away from the second top number.

23. Below is an example of subtracting two numbers.

24. *Notice you cant take 6-9. 4 1 6 then adding that one you took 56 -39 away to the 6 allows that to -39 17 now be 16.

25. So now we have to take one away from the 16-9=7

26. 5 and our new problem becomes 4-3=1

28. This allows you to know when you get out of school.

30. It consists of dollars, 50 cent pieces, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies.

31. All of which are coins besides dollar bills.

32. Dollar bills are made of paper and look like the image below on your left.

33. Coins are normally round pieces of metal like the image below on your right.

35. Numbers are used the most in math. They are in everything including Adding, Subtracting, Multiply, Divide, Time, and etc.

37. Measurements are mainly used in math with story problems and finding area, width, or length of a problem.

39. Fractions are not whole numbers. For example all fractions will look something like this...

40. ¾ or 7 ½

42. The result of the multiplying is called the product.

43. Multiplication is good to know when purchasing something from the store. For example, if you buy 6 notebooks at $5 each. Instead of adding 5+5+5+5+5+5 you can know the answer by just multiplying 6X5 and know it would cost you $30.

45. Division is the exact opposite of multiplication

46. Division is important in every day lives. For example, if your part of a group, you have your specific job in that group. All the jobs are divided evenly throughout group in which one job is specifically yours.
