2. What is poverty????
Poverty is every body`s problem. In
every success received by a part of
the society, the other part of course
experiences poverty.The meaning
of it must be thought to the
concerned for them to provide and
contribute a solution to the uneven
part of survival.
“Poverty is not an accident. Like
slavery and apartheid, it is man-
made and can be removed by the
actions of human being.”
-Nelson Mandela

The poverty head count ratio in the
countryside is almost doubles that
of urban areas. Rural Sindh has
around 50 per cent of the
population, and shares about 30 per
cent of the province’s GDP.
A major study recently conducted
found that 36.3 per cent of the
respondents in rural Sindh
consumed less than 1,700 calories a
day, while another 25 per cent
consumed between 1,700 to 2,100

13. DISCUSSION
Poverty is general
scarcity or dearth, or the
state of one who lacks a
certain amount of
material possessions or
money. It is a
multifaceted concept,
which includes social,
economic political
elements. Poverty seems
to be chronic or
temporary, and most of
the time it is closely
related to inequality.
“Anyone who has
struggled with poverty
knows how extremely
expensive it is to be
poor.”
14. CONCLUSION
Pakistan is one of those
countries which
unfortunately come among
the below poverty line
countries of the world. Being
poor is not a mistake but
dying poor may be a
mistake.
Ending up with the hope that
one day Pakistan would be
among those countries
where poverty would
decrease if people and
government of the country
tries because when there is a
will there is a way.
“The prevalent fear of
poverty among the educated
classes is the worst moral
disease from which our
civilization suffers.”
