POVERTY:
Inability to afford basic human needs
 which commonly includes “clean&
 fresh water, nutrition, healthcare,
 education,clothing & shelter”.

HUNGER:
having a desire to take FOOD.
POVERTY & HUNGRY
are easily assumed as head, tail of a
coin. Because, they cannot be
separated from each other.
poverty & hunger is a universal problem,
which is drastically affecting our world and
ultimately resulting to death, from many
years to present.
Poverty around the world:-
 Around the world, in rich (or) poor
  nations, poverty has always been
  present.
 In most nations today, the gap between
the rich n poor is quite high and often
  widening.
 Almost half the world-over 3 billion
  people-live on less than $2.00 a day.
 Nearly a billion people entered 21st
century, unable to read a book and sign
  their name.
poverty in India…
 Poverty is widespread in India, with the
nation estimated to have a third of the
  world's poor.
 According to a 2005 World Bank estimate,
26.1% of the total Indian population falls
  below the international poverty
  line of US$ 1.25 a day.
 A recent report by the Oxford Poverty and
Human Development Initiative states that 8
Indian states have more poor than 26
  poorest African nations combined which
totals to more than 410 million poor in the
  poorest African countries.
Africa in 2030, will be home to a larger
proportion of the world’s poorest people than
today.
Around the world, 25,000 people
die of hunger ……EVERY DAY.
Every year, nearly 11 million children living in
poverty and dying before their fifth birthday.

1.02 billion people go to their bed at every
night with empty stomach.
Over 30% of rural girls living in poverty are
kept out of school to save money.
KEVIN CARTER
Causes for poverty…!!!
 casteism is widespread in rural areas,
  and continues to segregate Dalits.
 Due to unperiodential paying of income
  tax to the governement,making money
  as black.
 Rise in cost of living, making poor people
less able to afford items. poor person
spends a greater portion of money of
their budgets on food than rich people.
 Lack of education.
 Due to over population in countries
leads to more extent of poverty.
 Lack of individual responsibility and hard
  working nature.
 Bad government policies and
  exploitation by people.
 Unhelpful human beings, who are not
even in a state to help poor people.
Approximately 40% of world’s agricultural land
is seriously degraded in Africa,if current trends
of soil degradation continues, the continent
might be able to feed just 25% of it’s
population by 2025.
Solutions for poverty..!!
 Improving the quality of education for poor
  children and generating more employment.
 Improving the training and equipment of
farmers in poor countries related to
  agriculture and natural resource
  management.
 Richer governments and charities should
come forward to help poor countries.
 Regular payment of income taxes should
be collected by government, bringing black
  money from Swiss banks.
 Every individual should responsible and
  work hard in their occupation.
 A guaranteed minimum income, famine
  relief model, useful government policies
  should be provided by government.
 Casteism between upper class and
lower class people must be eradicate.
 Human beings should live with human
  values, by helping the poor.

PEOPLE IN WORLD TAKES GOOD
