Changing The Social Context of Peer Victimization
The WITS Programs aim to reduce peer victimization through a comprehensive, community-based approach. Two evaluations found that rates of physical and relational victimization declined more in schools implementing WITS compared to control schools. While initial victimization reports were higher in WITS schools, possibly due to increased awareness, peer support did not differ between groups. Teachers rated children in WITS schools as having higher social responsibility at each time point. Overall, WITS was found to effectively reduce peer victimization through involving community champions and consistently teaching peaceful conflict resolution across settings.

It involves a multidisciplinary team providing individualized services wherever the client is, with a focus on outreach and flexibility. The PEACH Study: What Makes for Effective Prevention in Domestic Abuse for Ch...
The PEACH Study reviewed the effectiveness of prevention programmes for domestic abuse among children and young people. It found that:
1) Few programmes explicitly aimed to change behaviors, most aimed to raise awareness, knowledge and understanding instead.
2) Nine controlled trials and 14 cohort studies showed some evidence of medium and long-term outcomes like behavioral changes, increased awareness and help-seeking.
3) Programmes worked best for small, high-risk groups and increasingly targeted boys. They paid little attention to marginalized groups like LGBT youth.
ARC- India Feedback analysis
Most sessions at the Alumni Relations Conference received high ratings of 6 or 7 on a 7-point scale, and all respondents said they would recommend the conference to other schools. Feedback analysis showed that sessions on panel discussions, fundraising from alumni, knowledge management, and the power of alumni engagement received the highest ratings, while the alumni office essentials session was rated highest overall with 60% of respondents giving it a 7. Audits found that while most alumni associations have clearly defined roles, over 70% of alumni are not currently supporting their colleges in a planned or organized way, and around two-thirds of institutions need support in designing alumni giving campaigns and setting up alumni affairs offices.

Participants also reported that the program was an environment where they could express themselves and their feelings. The study was limited by a small sample size and lack of a comparison group.

The City of Promise initiative aims to improve educational and developmental outcomes for children and youth in three Charlottesville neighborhoods through a cradle-to-college-and-career continuum of support programs. It is modeled after the Harlem Children's Zone and serves around 1,000 residents across 25 city blocks. The initiative has three main goals: academic achievement, positive youth development, and healthy development. It implements various programs in schools and the community to achieve these goals such as afterschool STEAM programs, parent empowerment programs, pathway coaching, mentoring, and partnerships to support health and wellness.

Interventions
Berkeley High School implemented interventions to increase academic achievement and school engagement. The interventions focused on attendance, discipline, academics, and personal support through programs like small learning communities, tutoring, counseling, and parent involvement. The interventions were monitored by administrators, counselors, and advisors. Outcomes included decreases in discipline issues and truancy along with increases in GPA, leadership activities, and parent involvement.

The research found that children living with family and friends carers often had emotional or behavioral problems, special education needs, or disabilities before placement. These issues occurred at much higher rates than in the general child population. Many of the carers also had their own health issues, stress levels twice that of the general population, and difficulties meeting the needs of the children in their care. Local authorities often failed to provide adequate support to the carers and children and were reluctant to classify kinship care arrangements as formal foster placements, despite the child's needs. Less than half of local authorities had published a family and friends care policy as required.

Project Abstract
The internship abstract summarizes the purpose, significance, method, outcomes, and evaluation of an internship evaluating emergency shelter and wraparound services for homeless families at Family Promise, Inc. The intern conducted a retrospective review of survey data from over 3,600 homeless families served annually from 2013 to 2015 to analyze demographic patterns, economic circumstances, and post-assistance housing outcomes. Key findings include stable reported racial identities among served families, increased employment rates upon entry, and high rates of families securing permanent or transitional housing after receiving assistance. The evaluation suggests employment alone is not enough to secure housing and warrants further investigation of other primary causes of family homelessness.

Semi-structured interviews were conducted with facilitators of two support groups, one successful and one unsuccessful, in Lynn, Massachusetts. Enabling factors like social support from coworkers and a strong relationship between facilitators and members helped increase attendance. Comparing the interviews revealed cultural differences in collaboration, education levels, and relationship between facilitators that influenced each group's outcomes.

It takes an empowerment-based approach to help clients develop self-determination, advocacy skills, and access community resources to overcome barriers. The program will be implemented through an agency with existing supports and a small staff, and aims to work with community partners to reunify families and improve quality of life through a more proactive approach.
Awareness of Low Socioeconomic Status & Socialization in Children

The number of homeless students in our nation's public schools has risen significantly since 2006, reaching over 1.3 million in 2013-14. What more can be done to help homeless students stay on track to graduation and on to a more stable future?
Civic Enterprises, the National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth, the Raikes Foundation, and America’s Promise Alliance hosted a webinar to share research about the current state of homeless students in America’s public schools. In addition, the webinar addressed new ESSA guidelines that will require districts and states – for the first time – to report high school graduation rates for homeless students.
