2. Clear image which represents what the film will
be focusing about, gives the impression that the
topic will be about environmental purposes. The
photos used are very strong, and makes the
audience think. These photos make more people
wonder about the film. Both include a variety of
colours for titles, relating to the colour of the
image.
The 11th Hour
The 11th hour is considered the final
moment when change is possible. Former
Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev,
theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking and
former CIA director R. James Woolsey
along with more than 50 other scientists,
scholars, and leaders discuss pressing
issues facing today's world. Specialists
reveal how human actions impact the
Earth's ecosystems, and what can be done
to reverse or slow the damage before it is
too late to save the planet. Narrated by
Leonardo DiCaprio.
Both posters include a byline
with a strong comment, this
leaves the audience thinking on
this when associating it with the
film. This is a good idea as it
brings more attention to the
film.
3. Documentary filmmaker Robert Kenner examines how mammoth
corporations have taken over all aspects of the food chain in the United
States, from the farms where our food is grown to the chain restaurants
and supermarkets where it's sold. Narrated by author and activist Eric
Schlosser, the film features interviews with average Americans about their
dietary habits, commentary from food experts like Michael Pollan and
unsettling footage shot inside large-scale animal processing plants.
The Food, Inc.
This documentary poster
includes two images
which clearly shows the
purpose of the
documentary. Both
include bold titles, the
images used are strong
especially on the left
showing the bar code is
extremely successful.
The rating of the TV
programme is included
below, headlines and
reviews of the film are
also included, these are
good features that I could
look into adding to my
final poster.
This documentary also includes the main
characters of the film and producers etc at the
bottom of each poster. The colour scheme is
kept the same and relevant colours are only
used throughout both posters.
4. Filmmakers expose the
horrifying mass executions of
accused communists in
Indonesia and those who are
celebrated in their country for
perpetrating the crime.
The Act of Killing
This poster includes many reviews of critics
about the film, they bring more attention to how
successful they have been making the viewers
want to watch this, this is a good aspect which
should be looked at to include into my poster.
Powerful images are
used in both posters to
show the seriousness
of the film, included at
the bottom consists of
the producer, cast and
director, these are also
aspects that we should
look at considering to
include in our final
poster pieces.
