According to Lancaster et al. (2016), PTSD creates long-lasting consequences of traumatic ordeals that creates intense fear, feeling of guilt, helplessness, persistent sadness due to sudden death of loved one, natural disaster, major accident, war or combat, physical assault, rape, terrorist attacks. According to Pai et al. (2017), DSM-5 diagnostic criteria related to PSTD includes flashbacks of the trauma, nightmares, intense distress, panicking, lack of sleep or self-disturbance, self-destructive behavior, aggressive behavior, reduce interest, avoidance or avoiding distress memories, emotionally numb and increase the use of alcohol and drugs. In the case study of Thomson Family, William Thompson is a 38 years old African American who is the younger brother of henry. William is a military person and was involved in an Iraq war veteran who recently starts living with her brother in Pasadena, California (Laureate Education, 2012a). Both his brother and wife argue that William is suffering from PTSD but William does not accept this thing and show the symptoms of avoidance when someone tries to talk to him about that. William starts living with his brother when he was unable to pay his mortgage and now working on jeopardy due to his PTSD and alcoholic concerns. The behavior of William that aligns with the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria of PTSD includes avoidance, war veteran, alcoholic concerns, concentration issues on working due to which he was unable to pay the mortgage due to joblessness, working in jeopardy due to PTSD concerns and his brother also admits that William is suffering from PTSD.
Psychotropic Medications
Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are the only FDA-approved drugs that are used in the treatment of PTSD (Ipser & Stein, 2012). In PTSD treatment sertraline antidepressants such as Zoloft, Pfizer and Paroxetine antidepressant HCl such as Paxil are recommended in the medication process. SSRIs work by helping to create a balance between certain chemicals such as neurotransmitter serotonin levels in the brain (Feduccia, et al., 2019). This chemical balance in the brain helps in regulating mood, improving sleep disturbance, improving appetite and decreasing other symptoms. According to Alexander (2012), the first-line treatment method for PTSD includes the use of Fluoxetine (Prozac) which helps in improving the energy level, restoring daily interest, decrease fear, unwanted thought, improve concentration and reduce panic attacks.
In the case of PTSD along with first-line treatment process different therapeutic approaches are also adopted for the .

Estas diretrizes visam melhorar a qualidade dos cuidados pós-natais essenciais e de rotina prestados às mulheres e aos recém-nascidos, com o objetivo final de melhorar a saúde e o bem-estar materno e neonatal.

The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, will provide insight into new directions in targeted therapeutic approaches for older adults with mantle cell lymphoma.
STATEMENT OF NEED
Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a rare, aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) accounting for 5% to 7% of all lymphomas. Its prognosis ranges from indolent disease that does not require treatment for years to very aggressive disease, which is associated with poor survival (Silkenstedt et al, 2021). Typically, MCL is diagnosed at advanced stage and in older patients who cannot tolerate intensive therapy (NCCN, 2022). Although recent advances have slightly increased remission rates, recurrence and relapse remain very common, leading to a median overall survival between 3 and 6 years (LLS, 2021). Though there are several effective options, progress is still needed towards establishing an accepted frontline approach for MCL (Castellino et al, 2022). Treatment selection and management of MCL are complicated by the heterogeneity of prognosis, advanced age and comorbidities of patients, and lack of an established standard approach for treatment, making it vital that clinicians be familiar with the latest research and advances in this area. In this activity chaired by Michael Wang, MD, Professor in the Department of Lymphoma & Myeloma at MD Anderson Cancer Center, expert faculty will discuss prognostic factors informing treatment, the promising results of recent trials in new therapeutic approaches, and the implications of treatment resistance in therapeutic selection for MCL.

Acute scrotum is a general term referring to an emergency condition affecting the contents or the wall of the scrotum.
There are a number of conditions that present acutely, predominantly with pain and/or swelling
A careful and detailed history and examination, and in some cases, investigations allow differentiation between these diagnoses. A prompt diagnosis is essential as the patient may require urgent surgical intervention
Testicular torsion refers to twisting of the spermatic cord, causing ischaemia of the testicle.
Testicular torsion results from inadequate fixation of the testis to the tunica vaginalis producing ischemia from reduced arterial inflow and venous outflow obstruction.
The prevalence of testicular torsion in adult patients hospitalized with acute scrotal pain is approximately 25 to 50 percent

Many war veterans do not really leave the battlefield because of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
As a matter of fact, about half a million Iraq and Afghanistan American war veterans have been
diagnosed with PTSD.
Studies show that PTSD leads to many detrimental mental health effects like major depressive disorder,
anxiety, and substance abuse.
As a step toward servicing the mental health of veterans, in 2012, former President Barack Obama
signed Executive Order 13625, which requires government departments like the VA to meet the mental
health demand and provide treatment for veterans, service members, and their families.
How Veterans with PTSD are Being Treated Today
Before treatment, veterans are diagnosed through the Clinician-Administered Scale for DSM-5 (CAPS-
5). CAPS-5 is a 30-item interview with the patient with PTSD. It takes about 30 to 60 minutes to
administer the interview. Alternatively, the Mississippi Scale for Combat-Related PTSD is conducted.
Veterans measure how they feel about each item in the 35-item questionnaire with a five-point Likert
scale.
3. Afterward, psychological interventions are employed. Reports found that the most effective
psychotherapies to reduce symptoms of PTSD is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). In a CBT session,
the patient collaborates with the therapist in a problem-solving process to validate maladaptive
cognitions and behavioral patterns.
Some therapists also do the eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) treatment. During
the EMDR treatment, the therapist guides patients to make eye movements while the latter recounts
traumatic events. The EMDR treatment allows the patient to focus on other stimuli while relating the
traumatic events until the information proves to be no longer psychologically disruptive to the veteran.
What Bars Veterans From Getting the Right Treatment
Veterans need to have either an honorable or general discharge before accessing the medical benefits
that the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) provides. However, despite the high rate of PTSD among
war veterans, many of them do not get the appropriate treatment. In fact, less than half of veterans
needing mental health services do not receive any treatment.
Some of the things that hinder veterans from getting PTSD treatment are the long waiting list at VA
medical centers and the social stigma associated with mental illness.
War veterans went to the battlefield in the name of service to the nation. In turn, the nation should
take care of them before, during, and after their service.
