This document discusses logical thinking strategies. It defines thinking as the mental manipulation of information to form concepts or solve problems in order to make firm decisions. Logical thinking involves observing phenomena and analyzing reactions and feedback to draw evidence-based conclusions. Logical thinking skills are important for self-improvement and effective decision making. There are two types of logical arguments: deductive reasoning uses specific premises to reach a specific conclusion, while inductive reasoning establishes rules based on repeated experiences but conclusions may not be accurate. The document provides tips for improving logical thinking skills such as questioning information sources, adjusting perspectives, and organizing information to identify relationships and determine high value pieces.

10. How To Think Logically ?
Logical thinkers observe and analyse
phenomena, reactions and feedback and
then draw conclusions based on the input.
i.e., a sales representative modifies the
presentation about a product to highlight
its user – friendly qualities after receiving
feedback from customer indicating that
ease of use was primary reason that they
had purchased the product.
11. Importance of Logical Thinking
Logical thinking skills helps us to improve ourselves
in many ways. i.e., by forcing intellectual self
improvement because we consider hard facts even
when you are assessing our own performance. They
also help us to become a better team player because
we are unlikely to let our emotions, such as our ego
cloud our judgement.
Logical thinking skills are essentially important in
our professional life, the more we put in logics the
better would be the decision making process with
fewer mistakes.
12. Types of Logics
There are 2 types of logical arguments. They are :-
1. Deductive
2. Inductive
1. DEDUCTIVE:- It uses specific and accurate premise that leads to specific and accurate
conclusion. This type of reasoning provides complete evidence of the truth, the conclusion
of this type of argument is verifiable and correct. i.e., when it rains the trees get wet. The
trees are wet this morning, so it rained last night.
2. INDUCTIVE:- This type of argument usually involves a rule being established based
on a series of repeated experiences. Under this type of argument the conclusion may not
be accurate. i.e., myths, hypothetical and religious assumptions.
Example :- An umbrella prevents you from getting wet in rain. Mohit carried an umbrella with
him and he did not get wet. Under this logic the conclusion is not accurate as this may also
happen that he might be indoors when it is raining and he gets out when the rain stops so he
did not get wet.
13. How To Improve Our Logical Thinking Skills
• Develop the habit of questioning:-
Hone our questioning skills and use them every where. Whatever information, facts
and figures or simply assumptions we get, we should verify them. Check your
sources of information and investigate every piece of information that you find even
slightly questionable. Before you began to evaluate check the authenticity of
information we have gathered.
• Adjust Your Perspectives First:-
Understand the biases of information ny determining what exactly they are and how
they may effect the way we deal with information. Ve flexible enough yo look at the
problem from different prospectives, even if they contradict our long held beliefs.
• Learn To Put It All Together Effectively:-
Try to organize your thoughts either by writing or by mind mapping to help you clarify
them first. Examine all information you have, figure out relationships among those bit
of information, and determine which one are of highest value and then come up with
a solution.
14. Conclusion

important to acquire some basic habits if we want to solve our problems

Anticipating : Thinking about what is ahead
Critical Thinking : Question every information
