1. Politics for Humanity
By Avinash Heston
During the recent past, the rate of development was stagnant in India. Every
nation has a foundation, which can also be referred to as the People of that
particular country. For a skyscraper to rise and stay stable, it requires a very
strong foundation. Similarly, for an economy to rise, in terms of development, the
people of the country must be strong, metaphorically. Both, Politics and
Politicians, should act as an intermediary between the people and the
government, which can facilitate proper economic growth. The youth of this
country are the future of the country. Not so long ago, before Modi and the NDA,
The youth were least interested in politics since it simply conveyed the meaning
of corruption and inflation. It is clear from Narendra Modi’s campaigns that Youth
wants development. This factor in his campaign schemes fostered his magnificent
win over the rest, with 272+ seats going over to the NDA.
There are various steps which could be taken by the politicians so that
development can be fostered. The political system should support and encourage
business developments in India, rather than creating restrictions. The Quota
management of the country should also be revised and properly set-up so that
caste barriers are removed and efficient people who are able to do the respective
jobs, will be appointed, thereby bringing in efficiency. The political system should
also encourage the establishment of medium and small-scale industries, which
can possibly contribute to the overall GDP of the country.
One of the key areas which requires urgent attention is the Agro sector, which
constitutes to about 16% of the total GDP. Recently, the export of certain fruits
such as Mango etc., were banned by the European economy due to the issue of
quality. Such areas should be looked into with utmost priority. If the agro sector is
to be utilized carefully and effectively in the coming years, India can easily
increase its’ scale of development since the agro sector itself contributes to more
than 65%.
Ensuring such initiatives would definitely gain the trust of the youth, hence
gaining their support for developing the nation. It is not just limited to these
2. activities but providing solution to these problems could encourage the youth to
identify and solve additional problems pertaining to our country, thereby enabling
development.
