Poland is located in Central Europe, bordered by Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania and Russia. It has over 38 million people and is divided into 16 regions, with Warsaw as the capital city. The largest rivers are the Vistula and Oder, and geography includes access to the Baltic Sea to the north and mountains in the south, such as the Swietokrzyskie Mountains near Kielce, which are among the oldest in Europe despite their modest height.
