Poised at the Edge of the Unknown:Surviving and Thriving in Second Life, is a TCC preconference session hosted by Cynthia Calongne, Corwin Carillon and Jeff Hiles. It uses a humorous approach to looking at some of the challenges that educators and students face in a virtual world. It was presented using an interactive trivia game approach to promote participation (and to make it lively for Lyr Lobo, who adores games).

13. Where did my hair go? Lyr looks for her missing hair Lyr drug her hand over her avatar & accidentally detached or edited her hair Right click the hair, select More and Wear

14. Avatars come in all shapes, colors, species and sizes Corwin and Lyr (l) Heidi and Stella (r)

15. Rename your shape so you can find it easily Lyr is wearing a child’s shape I’m shrinking! This can happen after wearing a smaller avatar Create a folder & put the items in it that you like to wear. Right click your folder & use Add to Outfit

17. The Library & Clothing folders hold starting outfits Highlight, copy and paste the items into a new folder in My Inventory
