Posidonius 135-51: Stoic Recognized two principles: The active principle is God and the passive one is matter Claimed that the supra-lunar realm was imperishable and the sub-lunar realm perishable (dissolving into the void, but capable of reconstitution) Human beings bridge these two realms Believed that a cosmic sympathy held all things together.
