It was the first approach we had as regards the design of lesson plans and it was fun and challenging since we had to do some research to find the perfect song to teach body parts and re-accommodate the tasks to our students’ level of English.

Micaela Brot Carla Podworny Lesson Plan #1 2nd form Book: Communicative goal: Distinguishing between summer and winter clothes Grammar focus: “I am /He/she is wearing…” Vocabulary focus: Clothes (Bathing suit, cap, jeans, jacket, sandals, scarf, shorts, skirt, t-shirt, wolly hat) Recycled language: Seasons REVISION CLASS Routines: (3 minutes) T will sing the hello song along with the students. Then, she will ask what the weather is like, and they’ll sing the weather song. Activation (5 minutes) Ss will play “The stop game.” T will stick flashcards on clothes on the BB. She will call out the name of one of them as she goes touching each flashcard. When she touches the one she is calling out, Ss must say: stop! T will repeat the procedure for all the clothes. If the Ss success, they get a point. If not, T gets it. Application: (25 minutes) Activity #1: Let’s sing a song! (10 minutes) Description: We’ll listen to a song related to clothes. First Ss will listen to the song, and they will try to spot the clothes mentioned (they’ll write them on their books). Afterwards, We’ll check the answers and we’ll sing the song all together.
