9. Pinterest provides an opportunity to promote library programs and provide
links to the phenomenal amount of information available online through
visually appealing and well organized boards.
Parents, children, teens, and adults can benefit from their libraries
involvement in creating these resources. It is also a way to link to these
resources without cluttering the library Facebook page or putting
everything on the library’s website, that might not get the same amount
of exposure. By providing this information in a forum that the patron
already uses, the information professional is able to present an elegant,
effective, and accessible option for patrons to access information.
