British photographer Carl Warner creates landscape images called "foodscapes" using various food ingredients found in a typical kitchen. The foodscapes depict scenes like forests, beaches, and submarines made entirely from fruits, vegetables, cheeses, pastas, and breads. Warner spends hours arranging the food pieces on an 8ft by 4ft table to realistically portray three-dimensional landscapes. He takes the photos in stages to prevent the fresh foods from wilting. Warner hopes the foodscapes will promote healthy eating, especially for children.

Rwanda has a population of approximately 9 million people and is the most densely populated country in Africa. It has experienced very rapid population growth of 3.6% annually, which will cause the population to double in size within 20 years. While goals for eradicating extreme hunger will likely be met, eradicating extreme poverty will not. The 1994 Rwandan genocide dramatically increased poverty rates. Rwanda has made progress in education goals, with primary education enrollment rates rising from 67% in 1990 to 92% in 2005. It was also the first country where women outnumbered men in democratic government. Child mortality has declined significantly despite challenges from the genocide.
This design challenge document outlines a process for partnering with a local organization to increase their social impact through the design of a new product or service. The process involves four phases: HEAR (gathering input through activities like interviews and job shadowing), CREATE (making sense of the collected data to identify opportunities and define solutions), BUILD (building a team and prototyping potential solutions) and DELIVER (developing an implementation plan and identifying required resources). Key activities within these phases include synthesizing research findings, brainstorming solutions using techniques like deferring judgement, building on others' ideas, and focusing on quantity over quality of ideas, as well as gathering feedback on prototypes to iterate designs. Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs
