Project Open Door, established in 2004 at RISD, aims to provide studio education and support services to low-income teenagers in urban schools through mentorship and exposure to college life. The program includes structured courses taught by RISD volunteers at local high schools and on campus, with plans for improved engagement through an advertising campaign and social networking. The initiative seeks to enhance community collaboration and support for its participants through various events and activities.
