Role of Dydrogesterone in repeated pregnancy lossNiranjan Chavan
Dydrogesterone has been shown to effectively treat recurrent pregnancy loss by modulating the immune system. It shifts the balance from a pro-inflammatory Th1 response towards an anti-inflammatory Th2 response by [1] inhibiting the production of Th1 cytokines IFN-γ and TNF-α and [2] inducing production of the Th2 cytokines IL-4 and IL-6. This results in improved pregnancy outcomes by supporting embryonic development. Clinical studies demonstrate dydrogesterone significantly reduces miscarriage rates in women with recurrent pregnancy loss.
GENITAL TB - HOW TO DIAGNOSE & WHEN TO TREAT BY DR SHASHWAT JANIDR SHASHWAT JANI
The document discusses tuberculosis (TB) as a major threat to developing countries. It notes that 95% of annual TB cases and deaths occur in developing nations, with India accounting for 1.5 million new cases and 500,000 deaths per year. Diagnosis of genital TB is challenging as symptoms are often vague, requiring a combination of clinical exams, imaging tests like HSG, and laboratory investigations. Laparoscopy can also reveal tubercles on the peritoneum or dense adhesions. Smear and culture of genital secretions remain important for confirmation, though newer tests like PCR and serological markers are improving detection.

Uterine Fibroids: Symptoms, Causes, Risk Factors & Treatment uterine fibroids aren't associated with an increased risk of uterine cancer and almost never develop into cancer
This document summarizes a pilot study that evaluated the safety and effectiveness of an alternative therapy for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) using natural minerals. 20 women with PCOS received weekly treatments involving wrapping the body in bandages soaked in a mineral solution for 1 hour. Hormone levels were measured before and after treatment. Results found that treatment significantly improved levels of luteinizing hormone, prolactin, anti-Mullerian hormone, fasting insulin, and liver enzymes. No adverse events occurred. The study suggests this natural mineral treatment may be a safe and effective approach for managing symptoms of PCOS.
The study compared outcomes of long and short stimulation protocols for IVF/ICSI in women over age 40. A total of 531 women received either the long (285 women) or short (246 women) protocol. The long protocol resulted in higher numbers of oocytes retrieved, fertilized eggs, embryos, and clinical pregnancies compared to the short protocol. No pregnancies occurred in women over age 43. The long protocol is therefore recommended over the short protocol for assisted reproduction in women over 40 years old.

GnRH Agonist in Endometriosis- An Old Good FriendSujoy Dasgupta
Invited Lecture delivered by Dr Sujoy Dasgupta in the "Dream City Meet"- the East Zone Conference of Endometriosis Society of India, held on 24 December 2019 at Durgapur
Recent advances in endometriosis were discussed. Endometriosis is a chronic disease where endometrial tissue grows outside the uterus, affecting around 10% of women. Dienogest, a progestin, was shown to be effective in reducing endometriosis-associated pelvic pain in randomized controlled trials. Dienogest 2mg daily for 24 weeks provided pain relief similar to leuprolide acetate but with fewer side effects. Long-term use of dienogest for 65 weeks maintained pain relief with a favorable safety profile. Dienogest was as effective as goserelin in reducing postoperative recurrence of endometriosis at 24 months.
Laparoscopic ovarian drilling : Not too much Not too littleMahmoud zakherah
Laparoscopic ovarian drilling (LOD) is a second-line treatment for infertility in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) patients who do not respond to clomiphene citrate. Adjusting the number of punctures and thermal dose based on individual ovarian volume improves outcomes and reduces risks of damage to ovarian reserve compared to fixed dosing protocols. While LOD improves ovulation and pregnancy rates, it is not a first-line or permanent treatment, and repeated drilling is not recommended. Oral and gonadotropin therapies are preferable first-line options before considering LOD or in vitro fertilization.

8 Surprising Reasons To Meditate 40 Minutes A Day That Can Change Your Life.pptxHolistified Wellness
We’re talking about Vedic Meditation, a form of meditation that has been around for at least 5,000 years. Back then, the people who lived in the Indus Valley, now known as India and Pakistan, practised meditation as a fundamental part of daily life. This knowledge that has given us yoga and Ayurveda, was known as Veda, hence the name Vedic. And though there are some written records, the practice has been passed down verbally from generation to generation.

14. Omega 3 Fatty Acids
Studies suggest that by lowering oxidative stress and reducing
the degree of cavernosal fibrosis, omega-3 fatty acids protect
from erectile dysfunction
Corporal fibrosis is the main underlying etiology for ED in the
majority of patients
Regardless of age or etiology, 66% to 75% of cases of ED are
caused by corporal fibrosis and ultimately, CVOD. Therefore, if
the cause of CVOD itself can be prevented, then ED could
become a preventable condition. The results of our study
strengthen the evidence that omega-3 fatty acids work mainly
through its anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and
have an ameliorative function on fibrotic changes of
cavernosum tissue.
