Major Components Master Plan- lists 1076 military/FUDS sites Annual Planning Process Annual Plan Annual Report Scheduled Site List (66) Study Site List (657) Deferred Site List  Resolved Sites (53)
Pilot Study Project 659 NOFA sites Study a representative sample of the sites (67 initially). Selections based on region work load and military components Determine reliability of military’s NOFA determinations. Complete within two years.
Pilot Study Project (cont.) Result in Pennsylvania DEP “sign-off” or sites’ entry into the planning process. Will probably result in categorical conclusions. Military will provide existing file & database information. DEP will completely fund & carry out the study program.
Pilot Study Objectives Determine if the 67 pilot sites can be considered to be RESOLVED according to the Agreement.. Investigate resolving classes of sites and resolve additional sites if within the project scope. Investigate how sites might be resolved most efficiently.
Pilot Study Objectives (cont.) Determine resources needed to complete an evaluation of all 659 sites by 2010. Provide a Final Report with recommendations for resolving all 659 sites.

GENERAL TRENDS OBSERVED  (DRAFT) UST SITES  PADEP concurred with the Military on 60% of the Sites Malcolm Pirnie concurred with the Military on 60% of the Sites The Sites that both PADEP and Malcolm Pirnie did not concur with the Military were all Army Sites. MATERIALS STORAGE SITES PADEP concurred with the Military on 85% of the Sites Malcolm Pirnie concurred with the Military on 69% of the Sites The Sites that both PADEP and Malcolm Pirnie did not concur with the Military were all Army Sites.
