1. We believe the people in the first picture are housewives. They are cooking. You can
see one lady mixing and others using frying pans on the stove. We think the
photographer was trying to convey is that the kitchen is a woman’s place. It shows how
much times have changed. This is what all women did. There were no questions about
it. Women stayed home, cooked, cleaned, and took care of the kids. This photograph
raises a few questions. What are they making all the food for, is the woman in pants in
authority, how did we get where we are today from that point. You could look up the
picture on an academic website to get the information on what the photographer meant by
it. Based on the old wood stove and the old milk jugs we believe this picture was taken
back in the 1930’s. Our caption is just another day’s work while the husbands work the
factory. One thing you can infer is they are cooking. A second is that it happened back
during the first or second World War. Then a third is that everyone in the picture is
working together.
2. The photo features Hitler and a Hitler Youth in a crowd. Hitler is recruiting in this picture
to raise the blue eyed blonde boy to be a Nazi. He is conversing with the small boy in this
picture is why we believe this. We think the photographer was trying to convey that
people didn’t always realize how evil Hitler was. They thought he was doing what was
best for their nation. This photograph was important to history because it shows what
Hitler felt was the perfect human being. It shows his goals and why the Nazis fought. It
raises the question of what were Hitler’s true intentions. The women in the background
