1. My background layer for
my magazine cover was
created by different
brushes from ‘brusheazy’. I
used this because it was
different and unique and
that it can’t be exactly
replicated by other
magazines.

2. My title for my
magazine is called
‘Amplified’ The font I
used is called Quadra. I
used this font as I felt it
stood out and would
appeal to my audience
which is both girls and
boys. I also included my
web address
underneath my
magazine title, as it is
easy to see, which I
made bold. I used the
move tool and the text
tool to edit my title to
fit on my cover page.

3. I added a grey
background with a
skyline on top of it to
show my special selling
point of my
magazine, which is a
music chart every week
inside. I used a drop
shadow and inner glow
on my skyline to make
it more
noticeable, even
though it was small.

4. I added my main image of
two girls in a band called
‘sugar rush’. I cut around
the image with the quick
selection tool and the
magic want tool, so I didn’t
have any background to the
image. They are sat on
speakers and doing their
signature pose to show
they are in a girl band. The
matching way they are
dressed shows they are
meant to be that way and
the contrast of their outfit
colours to the background
colours stand out and make
they seem bold.

5. The cover lines I have used
overlap my main image and
fit in with my house style
which is blues, pinks and
purples. I used a drop
shadow, outer glow and inner
glow around ‘Sugar Rush’, to
make it stand out more and
also the cover line above it.
As this was my main image
cover lines I made them large
with those effects so it was
the most prominent cover
line on my magazine. I used a
drop shadow on ‘The candy
coated girls reveal all’
because it makes the white
cover line be more
prominent.

6. I added a ‘+’ sign and five
coverlines to the right side
of my magazine to fill up
the space. I used a drop
shadow on my yellow ‘+’
sign to make it stand out
against my five bright blue
coverlines. I used the same
colour blue as my cover line
‘Sugar rush’ so it fits in with
my house style.

7. For my left hand side of my magazine I put three cover
lines with information underneath them. All of my ma
cover lines I used a black drop shadow on to make it
contrast with the bright, bold colours I used that stand
out. Underneath them I used the same bright blue as
my main cover line to make it fit in with my house styl
I didn't use any effects on these because I didn't want
them to look the same as the cover lines.

8. I used the move
tool to alter any
slight changes I
needed to make
and also the text
tool to make my
text change.
