1. For my Photoshop project, I altered an empty world map, added some color to the
continents and added text boxes in the corresponding locations of the oceans of the
world.
First, I filled the continents in with the color green, which was a change from
their original white color. I chose the auto select tool and clicked on each continent,
this allowed me to then fill it in with color using the paint bucket tool. After selecting
the paint bucket tool, I chose a color of green from the color panels located on the
right. I then started clicking away with the paint bucket, being very careful not to
click outside of the lines. This caused me to have some unwanted “land” in the
oceans and I had to undo several times before getting it perfect.
I then decided to label each of the oceans on the map. For this I selected the
“type” tool and created a text box in each of the oceans. I then typed the name of
each ocean in its corresponding text box. I then used the move tool to make the text
more visually pleasing.
