The document outlines photography plans for a magazine cover, contents page, and double page spread (DPS) featuring a male teenage musician. For the cover, the subject will be photographed from above playing a guitar in a cabin. The contents page will include an image of the subject holding an acoustic guitar in the cabin, and a close-up of a torso holding an electric guitar. The DPS will be a full-page shot of the subject in the cabin against a wall, with other items like a painting included to show his personality. Required props, costumes, locations, and equipment are also listed.

Hadj Ounis's most notable work is his sculpture titled "Metamorphosis." This piece showcases Ounis's mastery of form and texture, as he seamlessly combines metal and wood to create a dynamic and visually striking composition. The juxtaposition of the two materials creates a sense of tension and harmony, inviting viewers to contemplate the relationship between nature and industry.
2. Cover Page
My main image will be of a male teenage character. They will be sitting cross-legged
holding a guitar, and the photo will be taken at an overhead, canted angle. The subject’s
face will be partially obscured but still visible from this angle. Their face will be in the
foreground and the guitar will be in the background; the photo will be framed so that
the subject’s face dominates the left half of the photograph and the guitar dominates
the right half. This expresses to the audience that the subject is passionate about music.
The location will be a cabin, though this won’t be clear from the photo angle and camera
positioning: this creates a sense of mystery to the location and entices the reader to
read on. He will wear a jacket and skinny jeans and will have styled hair. My use of a
male teenaged character reflects the target audience and draws their attention. I’ll use
black and white colour to present a mature, professional style and will use contrast it by
using colour in the headlines so that the cover is not devoid of colour and is appealing to
the reader.
3. Contents Page
I will use two images for my contents page. One will be a long shot of the character from
the cover page holding an acoustic guitar. The setting will be the cabin; this picture
serves as a ‘preview’ of the double-page spread and clearly communicates the article
subject, setting, and focus to the reader. The acoustic guitar infers the style of music the
character plays, showing the reader what the article will contain.
The second image will be a close up of a red electric guitar, held by a model. Only their
torso will be visible, but they’ll wear a band t-shirt which will be clearly visible in the
photograph. This varies the photographs used in the magazine and clearly communicates
the dress sense/fashion associated with the magazine and reader profile as well as the
passion for music that the magazine strives for.
4. Double Page Spread
My double page spread image will be a long shot featuring the character from the cover
picture. The setting will again be in the same location: the cabin – creating an association
between cover page and article. The photo will cover the entirety of the spread, with the
model dominating the entirety of the left page and the article being presented on the
right page. There will be no musical instruments in frame, showing that the article has an
intimate, personal look at ‘the man behind the music’. The character will wear jeans and
a jacket, and will sit against the wall. The framing of the picture will ensure other items
are visible in the picture, such as a painting, in order to communicate the personality of
the performer in the article to the readers. Another potential prop is a table with
nothing on it, as it could convey the minimalist feeling of the setting and enforce the
tone of the article.

N/A: The location isn’t important as the close-up framing of the picture
obscures any details of the setting and places focus entirely on the musical
