For his magazine photoshoot, the photographer plans to shoot a male model alone on the cover and a male and female together for the double page spread. The models will be dressed in dark, urban clothing to portray music artists. Additional photos will be taken of each model for use in the contents page. Location shots will include an urban setting for the solo cover photo and a white studio backdrop for the double page spread.

2. For my magazine front cover and double page spread I plan to use a male for the front cover and a male and female for my double page spread. I
plan to make the models look like music artists for my magazines music genre. I will take more than one photo of each so that I can use some on my
contents page.
Costume- The artist models I will take pictures of have to be wearing dark coloured clothes, these could include blacks, greys, burgundies and army
greens. Further more I will dress my models in skinny jeans and preferably black shoes, possibly vans or a smarter alternative such as brogues. I may
also use face makeup with colours such as blacks and whites which give connotations associated with the rock genre.
Props- on my front cover I may use an instrument such as a guitar, or even just drum sticks. However on a lot of music magazines similar the one I
will create, such as Kerrang!, the props used are related to the season the magazine is released, or a specific article within the magazine.
Location- for my front cover I will feature a solo or single band member male in an urban setting that provokes connotations street culture, for my
double page spread I will photograph the same single band member against a white studio background this will connote simplicity and ease within
the larger article this will be a long shot so the artist and their surrounding can be seen leaving most of the page white, this will also allow the
audience to see what the artists are wearing and their specific choice of fashion. This could also be used as a poster which was shown to be
predominantly the most wanted feature of the magazine. I will use a studio because it appears to be the most popular choice for modern
magazines. My front cover photograph will be taken portrait because it is a medium close up of a person, whilst on the other hand I will take my
double page spread landscape because it is a long shot and will allow for a wider field of view.
A further 3 photographs will be taken and feature on the front page, these will be smaller and show potential articles further within the magazine. I
have decided to use 3 smaller photographs on the front cover because it follows the style of Kerrang! Which is what my magazine is roughly based
off. The same 3 photos will be used on my contents page to coincide with the articles featured in the magazine however they will be slightly
enlarged to give a more in depth view of what the article is about.
My double page spread photograph will include an artist sat on a sofa or on the floor , to give connotations of them being easy going and relaxed
about sharing the information in the article, this will also further enforce the sense of simplicity which will contrast with the front cover.
