Victoria Young reviewed rhyming words with her class. She asked rhyming word questions, played rhyming songs and games, and sorted pictures into rhyming groups. Students worked on identifying, stating, matching, and creating rhyming words, both individually and in groups. Activities were differentiated for students with different needs, including ELL students and those needing remediation. The goal was for students to understand and apply knowledge of rhyming words, including those with consonant blends.
