A strong persuasive essay introduces the position it advocates and outlines three main supporting points, argues each point in a separate body paragraph using persuasive devices, and concludes by summarizing the main arguments.

1. Persuasive writing is writing that aims at getting the reader

 Statistical information is very effective in making your
argument more persuasive and valid , since you are
working with facts. Ensure your that the statistics that
you use are relevant to your topic.
 The use of expert opinion is also an effective means of
supporting your argument. You must ensure that the
authorities that you use say is relevant to you topic and
will therefore add credibility to your position. Avoid
making claims for authorities that do not exist or
making up your statements.

6. Repetition
 Ask any expert and they will tell you that repetition is essential
when you are trying to persuade someone. The use of repetition
will make your argument more compelling. You can use this
technique by making your point in various ways or by repeating
a word or phrase throughout your essay.

7. Structure of a Persuasive Essay

little easier for some students , suggest that students stick to the
five paragraph essay. Your essay should include

and outlines at least three main points that support your stance.
 The Body of the essay is where you argue each main point in a
separate paragraph. Be sure to use as many persuasive devices to
make your argument compelling.
 The Conclusion- your conclusion should be a summary of your
main points. Ensure that you end your essay by forcefully
reiterating your main argument.
