Perstorp is introducing a new plasticizer called PevalenTM that provides advantages over existing plasticizers for sensitive PVC applications. PevalenTM shows low initial viscosity and excellent viscosity stability, faster gelation, lower hardness values, softer films, improved clarity with less initial color, unique properties of high plasticizing efficiency and low volatility, and good fogging performance. Testing showed PevalenTM is unaffected in UV environments and retains visual appearance better than other plasticizers by reducing yellowing. It provides a good compromise on shelf life and ease of processing.
