My view on personal responsibility
Personal responsibility, as it relates to me deals with study skills, and taking charge of my
own learning methods. Its implies completing assignments on time, studying for tests,
taking the responsibility for my own learning mistakes, or failures, and performing the
best of my ability. In my opinion, personal responsibility recognizes the importance of
character, intelligence, understanding, honesty, pride, values and deliverance of
knowledge that I have obtain from my parents, teachers pastors and college professors.
This clearly means in my views are to take advantage of all learning resources and to
apply what I have learned towards, class projects, tests, essay papers, research projects,
and presentations.
By taking charge of learning produces positive outcomes that are displayed within that
individual. There are several steps one could used to achieve the highest learning
potential and retain information from the educational studies.The most important step
towards achieving personal responsibility in education is to be discipline towards
studying and punctual with school assignments. The best resolution tomaintain your
educational productivity is to not procrastinate. Set aside one or two hours per day for
reading and completing homework assignments. When students review information often
the percentages are much greater that those students will retain that information.
Support learning and be supportive with learning groups. The collaboration of different
learning styles helps, when the strengths from each team member are used towards
completing projects and school assignments. Try to stay away from educational conflicts
by using positive resolutions towards reaching any decision. As a team leader I would use
charismatic leadership. A charismatic leadership style can inspire enthusiasm in their
team and is energetic in motivating others to move forward and take responsibility
towards reaching a goal. In this case the goal is getting a good grade on any class
assignment.
The university also requires students to collaborate by working on learning team projects,
wherein the class will be divided into learning teams of four to five students. Each
learning team is assigned a team forum where team members will discuss the project and
submit their agreed upon portions of the learning team assignment for compilation by the
nominated learning team leader. The concept of learning teams is somewhat uncommon
in traditional academia; however, the University of Phoenix believes that collaborating on
projects and having individuals rely on each other reflects the real working conditions of
the corporate world.
Use the resources from the university, by taking advantages of the online libraries,
support services, and online discussiongroups. The availability of the professor is also
obtainable by emailing the professor with problems on learning situations.

Retain information with knowledge from college experiences by practicing speaking out
loud what you have learned, using of memory cards for note taking, staying organize by
using short precise words, reviewing study materials often, and asking questions if unsure
about any topic and seeking advice.
The personal responsibility relays with me as I am responsible for achieving success in
education and using the academic resources available to me from the higher place of
education. Yes the foundation are put in place with the school, professors, books,
learning setting and resources to obtain a good education, but the responsibility is my
own. The burden is not on the university, or the professors to get an education but the
individual himself or herself. This is often shown when a college graduate pursues
employment and will be competing for that position in the private sector.
