2. Who is Ruth Chavez?
• I am 21 years old and I am in my last
semester of CBU.
• I live on my own in Riverside CA.
• I come from Christian family and have
been fortunate enough to have been
born into a wonderful family.
3. My Career: Claims Adjuster
• I love my career! I was given the
opportunity to start my career a few
months before actually earning my
degree. I have learned so much and
have gotten to travel to Cleveland and
Phoenix during my training with
Progressive.
• I work in the Claims department as an
adjuster for liability and injury. I have the
opportunity to work with people who
have been hurt in tragic accidents and
work with them through the claims
process.
• My job requires a degree in BA, and my
position required me to be bilingual
(which is a plus )!
4. My Motto: Verse I live by
• Proverbs 3: 5 & 6:
• This verse has always been my favorite,
especially since I am at a stage in my
life where there is so much curiosity
and change.
• It is easy to be weary and want to be
anxious for things. Remembering to
trust God takes work and dedication.
• I know that trusting him has got me to
where I am because I can see it
through my life accomplishments.
5. Family is Everything
• I love my sister and two brothers. Family is
really one of the most valuable and
precious gifts that God can ever give to
us.
• I feel fortunate to have family that is
always by my side and family that has
contributed to my success.
• My sister Bianca is by far one of the most
influential people in my life. Aside from
being beautiful on the inside, she is also
one of the most beautiful people on the
inside. I look forward to all the future
memories we still have in this life.
6. Candelario Garcia was a good friend of mine for a very long time. He is a developer and builds home and then
sells them. This is his most recent project, which is his own house. He is 25 years old, and just about three months
ago, our friendship turned into a relationship. He is not only my boyfriend, but my mentor as well. He teaches me
the importance of hard work and being dedicated to improving work ethic at all times. I look forward to learning
from him and being able to share happy moments with him. (picture above is him and my sister Bianca).
7. My Hobbies
• Fitness is so important to me!
• Not only to be in shape, but for health
reasons as well!
• I have taken many nutritional classes
here at CBU and they have helped to
grow more fond of the importance of
always being healthy!
• I work out 4 days a week and eat a
pretty balanced diet always!
8. Being Social/Networking
• Since I now live on my own and have
the privilege of making my own
decisions, I can say that I enjoy my
social life
• Meeting new people and getting to
know where they come from and
perspectives in life has really helped
me to go above and beyond in terms
of networking.
• It is beneficial to meet different people
at this stage in our lives because it
helps us to move forward.
9. Music and My life
I have been playing
the piano since the
age of 8.
It has been on of the
biggest blessings in my
life because it is so
therapeutic. It helps
me in times when I
feels stressed or
overwhelmed. I thank
God and my Dad in
this picture because
my Dad helped me to
find this hobby and it
has always stuck with
me.
10. Reflecting on My life:
• I know that for my age I have been
able to accomplish so much and I
could not be more thankful to God for
that.
• I also understand, however, that the
success I have achieved has not just
been given to me.
• I have put it in the time and effort as
well as work to be able to do what I
do.
• I only pray that God continues to bless
me through this journey.
