To Whom It May Concern:
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Nick Peretti. Nick worked
for me in the Department of University Advancement at Central Washington University (CWU)
as an office assistant from February 2012 to July 2012.
Nick is an extraordinary person and I have seen many examples of his talents. While in my
employ, I was continually impressed by his studious work ethic, effective adeptness to multi-
tasking, and his ability to work not only independently but also as part of a team in an active
office with frequent interruptions. Nick consistently demonstrated an ability to rise to any
challenge and produce favorable results despite deadline pressures. His excellent rapport with
our constituents greatly aided me with scheduling meetings within CWU and with outside
organizations and businesses. Due to Nick’s proficiencies in event coordination and office
management I was able to increase his responsibilities and duties on assignments including the
Washington DC Alumni Internship project.
The key accountabilities for the office assistant included:
Serve as a main point of contact for the office, answering phones and directing our
constituents
Handle a wide variety of communications, which at times were confidential in nature,
with the campus community and outside agencies
Maintain a broad, comprehensive, and current knowledge of University policies and
procedures in terms of budget, travel, mail services, and other general procedures related
to the office functions
Reconcile state and CWU Foundation budgets monthly and assist with annual projections
Nick’s experiences in his role in the Washington DC Alumni Internship project included hands-
on practice in:
Organizing and coordinating excursions and meetings with legislative offices
Establishing new tracking systems for applications, nominations, and travel paperwork
Crafting messages and recruitment materials for the program
Managing and arranging travel itineraries
Nick has proven that he is consistent in his quality of work and leadership abilities. He is
respectful, dependable, creative, motivated, and ambitious. Nick has routinely demonstrated
excellent written and verbal communication skills, professionalism in all interactions, reliable
follow-through, the abilities to be a self-starter and to think outside of the box, and the aptitude
to organize and motivate a group of volunteers.

Nick is very conscientious in completing assignments, maintaining integrity, professionalism,
and respect for others, and holding confidentiality when necessary. On a personal level, Nick’s
gregariousness and amicability make him delightful to work with. He is superbly qualified for
positions requiring outstanding communication skills, attention to detail, creativity, and an ability
to work effectively with others.
Obviously he has my highest recommendation. I believe that Nick’s educational training and
working experiences have prepared him for success in any career venture he chooses. Please
contact me if I can provide additional information. You can reach me at crawford@cwu.edu or at
