Responsible for a case load of over aged under credited students that varied in size from30-70 juniors and
seniors.
Facilitated daily advisory classes focused on college and career access
Collaborated with the school guidance counselor to run workshops for parents of graduating seniors
Developed the curriculum and created weekly lesson plans for 12th grade college preparation class to
acclimate our students to the prospect of a post-secondary education
Created and implemented a new senior exit interview for graduating seniors in order to assess and analyze
their progress throughout their four years in high school
In coordination with the junior advisor I assisted in the creation of a college and career readiness system
that caters to the student’s population.
Maintained an orderly environment by assisting with cafeteria duty to ensure student safety
Chaperoned over night college trips to public and private colleges in order for students to familiarize
themselves to the idea of college and having a sense of independence

Designed and facilitated an after-school all boys program for 40 underperforming students resulting in an
increase in attendance and grades for more than 50% the students
Facilitated financial aid workshops with students and parents explaining, completing and submitting
FAFSA for college
Managed the after school program for NY Cares Organization with 31 student volunteers who accumulated
over 181 community service hours
Through consistent group and individual assessment meetings and persistent follow-up work, I ensured the
matriculation of 40 out of the 52 graduating seniors into post-secondary education
Created and implemented a new senior exit interview for graduating seniors in order to assess and analyze

Spearheaded the development of the alumni coordination program by creating a central database and
