Tennis is a racket sport that can be played individually or as doubles teams. The objective is to maneuver the ball such that the opponent cannot make a valid return. Tennis is played on an enclosed rectangular court with a low net using a tennis ball and racket. Matches consist of sets, which are made up of games that are scored starting at love. To win a match, a player or team must win a majority of sets or games based on the scoring format being used.
