2. Requistition Forms:
● Received a request form for Tzank smear for
cytopathology and skin biopsy for HPE from the
Department of Dermatology on 15th November 2022.
● 32/M with c/o multiple erythematous plaques present on
scalp, face, behind ears, chest and intertriginous areas.
● The lesions on scalp and face are associated with
scaling and those on intertriginous areas are associated

3. ● M/E:- high power image showing acantholytic cells
with inflammatory infiltrate.

5. Gross examination
● Received two very tiny grey white to grey brown biopsy
bits altogether measuring 0.3 x 0.2x 0.1 cm.

6. ● M/E: Low power image showing tissue bit lined by
keratinized stratified squamous epithelium alongwith
pilosebaceous gland

8. ● M/E:High power image showing subcorneal split with acantholytic cellls
and inflammatory infiltrate
