with accessibility. Her signature sweaters featuring quirky motifs
are consistently met with a surge of press excitement and the
brand’s cult following includes some of the world’s most stylish
women such as Kate Moss,Alexa Chung, Laura Bailey and Cara

Bella Freud Parfum:
Building on the success of her fashion business, Bella Feud
launched her debut Eau de Parfum collection in collaboration
with Azzi Glasser. An award winning perfumer and a modern day
icon in the perfume industry, Azzi has designed a number of
ground-breaking fragrances for brands including Agent Provocateur,
Nicole Farhi and Alexander McQueen. Azzi and Bella have worked
together to capture the unique story and evocative mood of the
Bella Freud brand. The resulting first three fragrances were launched
exclusively in Harvey Nichols in July 2014.
‘Je t’aime Jane’ is girlish and playful, leaving a trail of delicate
intrigue. She is the free spirit with a guitar, a baby and long bare
legs. ‘Ginsberg is God’ conjures up the tousled headed poet
surrounded by books and papers, the scent of green leaves
and spring drifting through the open windows while ‘1970’ is the
hedonist, the girl dancing until dawn on the beach of Formentera,
the smell of incense in the warm night air.
Alongside the perfumes, the team have created a range of
candles which are available to buy at exclusive outlets including
Net-a-Porter and Space NK. The candles which include Incense
Wood & Oud, Snow Lily and Fig Leaf & Tomato are like mini
encapsulations of evocative moments - both real and imagined.
“Each candle s like a small
piece of fashion
but recast for a
new mood.”

6. Troubadour Goods:
Functional Design. Incredible Craftsmanship. Modern Aesthetic.
Investment Pieces. Troubadour Goods is a London-based modern
menswear brand specializing in designing and creating superior
handcrafted leather goods. The Troubadour name pays homage
to the stories surrounding the artisans who create their products, as
well as the stories their products will witness in customers’ life travels.
The Troubadour team spent years in pursuit of a well-designed,
high-quality overnight bag that could transition seamlessly from
situation to situation, be it a quick business trip or a casual
weekend away with friends. The longer they searched, the more
surprised they were to find that something so simple, so essential
did not exist. So, after much careful deliberation, they embarked
on a journey to create the ideal bag.
The goal was to produce a classic, durable bag that married
function and style – one you’d happily carry with you for years and
years, one that would age beautifully and hold within it the many
stories of your life adventures. It was from this idea, along with the
many talented artisans whose handiwork is responsible for these
products, that Troubadour was born. The brand is now stocked at a
number of prestigious retailers internationally, including Harrods
and Harvey Nichols.

7. Penfield:
Penfield was established in Hudson, Massachusetts in 1975, by Harvey
Gross. A pioneering figure in the American outerwear industry since
the early 1960s. Gross recognized and championed the strength of
down insulated outerwear for its unique and unrivalled ability to
provide strong, durable warmth and protection. Requiring a special
manufacturing process and with only a few factories in the world
having expertise in producing down insulated apparel, Gross
decided to acquire a small manufacturing plant within an old textile
mill in Hudson to produce Penfield's high quality down filled garments.
Over the years, Penfield has become one of the market leaders at
producing high quality outerwear embodying the stylish 'New
England' aesthetic. Distributed through department stores and
boutiques before catching the attention of the American outdoor
speciality industry and catering to enthusiasts of life in the open.
It was this stylish New England aesthetic, that helped to introduce
the American outerwear look to an international market and
Penfield began exporting to Japan in 1979. Since then, high-profile
collaborations, innovative fabric developments together with an
unfaltering commitment to quality, function and style have all caught
the attention of top global retailers including Barney's, Nordstrom,
J.Crew, Ron Herman, Liberty, Harrods and key independents. The
brand has steadily become recognized worldwide for its high quality,
stylish apparel. Today, Penfield is available in 30 countries worldwide
and always designed For Life in the Open.

8. Kat Maconie:
Kat Maconie, a born and bred London girl, started her career in
fashion assisting stylists at leading fashion publications. Whilst later
working at luxury brand Whistles and haute couture designer
Tomasz Starzewski, she began attending evening classes at the
London College of Fashion pursuing an increasing interest in shoe
design. The first Kat Maconie collection was launched in 2009,
inspired by her mother’s extensive art deco jewellery collection with
one gold framed ring sparking the idea for her signature framed
heel. With an emphasis on geometric shapes, gold hardware
details and clean lines, her shoes today are designed for a woman
like herself, confident and with a strong sense of style.
The combination of Kat’s entrepreneurial skills and creative eye has
taken the business from strength to strength. The brand is now
stocked in over 20 countries and in leading department stores
around the world including Selfridges and Shopbop. Her biannual
collections are press and celebrity favourites and regularly feature
in magazines such as Vogue, Elle and Harpers Bazaar. With plans
to open the first standalone Kat Maconie store in Shanghai for the
AW14 launch and a further 5 by the end of 2014, Kat Maconie is
set to continue its global expansion.

9. CHUCS:
CHUCS designs and creates the highest quality clothing for the
most discerning customers who share a passion for craftsmanship,
beauty and adventure. Their mission is to create the best fitting
garments that are high performance whilst encapsulating the
understated elegance of the glamorous old world Caribbean.
The brand is available to buy at some of the finest retailers and
hotels worldwide.
Charles Finch was inspired by the legendary panache of his
grand-father George Ingle-Finch, who invented the down-filled
jacket in 1922. Nostalgic for the sartorial style he was witness to
growing up in Jamaica immersed in the movie business circles of
his father Peter Finch, he launched CHUCS in 2011 to create
exquisitely well-made clothes, classic in style with an understated
charm, for the man at leisure.
The journey began by creating a range of swim shorts and polo
shirts, stylish yet practical for all of a gentleman’s adventurous
pursuits. Attention to detail led the team on a journey sourcing the
highest quality fabrics and creating delicately beautiful prints that
now adorn a full range of leisure wear garments for both ladies
and gentlemen. The style is always classic; clothes that will get
better with age, reminiscent of old world design houses creating
garments that transcend time and fashion. The majority of
products are handcrafted in the CHUCS Lake Como factory,
celebrating the rich heritage and uncompromising commitment
to quality of Italian craftsmanship and manufacturing techniques.

11. Plenish:
Plenish, founded by Kara Rosen, offers the UK's best cold pressed
juices and detox cleanses. The products are created to allow your
system the necessary rest in order to stay in tiptop shape and keep
up with a full and hectic lifestyle.
Plenish uses a hydraulic press process, gently extracting the natural
vegetable and fruit juice from organic produce whilst retaining the
phytonutrients, vitamins, trace minerals, enzymes, and other vital
elements. This results in the finest quality and flavour which is
unequalled by any other method of juice extraction. The process is
an external one, meaning the sealed, fresh bottle of juice is
submerged into a cold tank of water - the same effect as
subjecting the food to an ocean depth of 60 Kilometres deep.
Using pressure instead of traditionally used heat to prevent
bacteria, makes the juice safer to consume and extends the shelf
life, naturally.
At the online Plenish juice boutique you can pick and mix to create
a box of your favourite juices or if you want an ongoing daily juice
fix, you can subscribe to a weekly juice delivery. Plenish juices are
also now available to buy straight off the shelf at stockists including
Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Ocado and Wholefoods in convenient
250ml bottles. So instead of popping in to your usual coffee house
to cure the mid-afternoon slump, you can now get a nutrition
boost at locations throughout London & the UK.

13. Dilly & Wolf:
Dilly & Wolf thought it was time that healthier snacks traded in
the brown sandals for the little black dress. Born in January 2013,
Dilly & Wolf specializes in British, hand-baked snacks with flavours
inspired by travels. The idea was born out of collaboration
between Ben Fogle, his wife Marina, and ex Marks & Spencer
product developer Annabel Vere Nicoll.
Together, and on a mission to create a healthier range of snacks
for the UK market, the founders assembled a broader team of food
experts that shared the vision and passion to produce amazing
quality food with true provenance based stories. Harriet Aitken and
Annette Peters from The Food Practice have led the development
for the range and Wendy Fogarty has driven sustainability and
sourcing for the brand, with over 40 years of collective industry
experience behind-the-scenes, helping to create four amazing
flavours. The snacks are currently available to buy in premium
stockists including Selfridges and Ocado.
"We always struggled to find what we were looking for in terms of a
healthier, nutritious and delicious savoury snack. We did not want
to deliver just another granola bar or a low-fat crisp, and were not
motivated by some of the new-age healthy snack alternatives.
We wanted to create something that was locally produced, with
a strong British heritage, as well as having the added benefit of
being nutritious and delicious!"
At Dilly & Wolf, the team are passionate about flavour and taste,
and as a result, they really care about where their ingredients
come from, how they are grown, how they are processed, and
how they are packaged. They scrutinize every ingredient,
measuring its value against strict internal criteria of taste,
sustainability and nutrition. Only those that tick all those boxes
make it into the Dilly & Wolf larder...

16. Chilango:
Everyone’s got a favourite food. One of Chilango’s founders, Eric,
grew up in Chicago, where he developed a real passion for Mexican
cuisine, regularly dining out on tacos, burritos and the like. He loved
the stuff. But when he came to work in London, there was nowhere
he could go to satisfy his cravings. Things were looking desperate.
Then Eric met Dan, Chilango’s other founder, discovered he was also
a Mexican food fanatic, and the pair made it their mission to bring
the fresh, delicious flavours that they both love to the UK.
Eric and Dan gave up their jobs and embarked on a gastro
adventure, looking for culinary inspiration. They went to Mexico City,
Zihuatenejo, Ixtapa (and a few other places that they can’t spell),
as well as Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco – home to
three of the largest Mexican communities in the USA. Along the
way they met everyone from street vendors to high-class restaurant
chefs, family cooks to fellow foodies.
Their quest? To find out what makes Mexican cuisine so amazing.
Inspired by the sheer energy and lust for life they encountered in
the Mexican people, not to mention the colour, variety, and
unbelievable flavours of the food they tasted, they went into the
kitchen and didn’t come out again until their recipes were good
enough to share.
At Chilango, what you see is what you get. All the food is prepared
in front of you while you wait, using quality, fresh from the market
ingredients that are literally bursting with flavour. ‘Chilango’ is
Mexican slang for someone who’s moved to the bright lights of
Mexico City looking for fun and adventure and that’s what sums up
the brand. Passionate, daring and with a large dash of cheeky Latin
spirit. Come and experience Chilango for yourself at one of the six
central London sites, including Upper Street and Chancery Lane.

Five Guys:
Five guys first opened its doors in Covent Garden in July 2013
and has since expanded to a total of twelve sites across the UK,
stretching from Glasgow to Guildford.
The global brand has been a Washington, DC area favourite since
1986 when Jerry and Janie Murrell offered sage advice to the
four young Murrell brothers: "Start a business or go to college".
The business route won and the Murrell family opened a carry-out
burger joint in Arlington, Virginia. Under the guidance of Jerry
and Janie, the Murrell family served only hand-formed burgers
cooked to perfection on a grill along with fresh-cut fries cooked
in pure peanut oil. The little burger joint quickly developed a
cult-like following. Press paid attention. Customers voted the burger
"#1" in the metro area.
During the 1980's and 1990's the Murrell family perfected their
simple system. Five Guys was The Place to get a fresh, juicy burger
with all the toppings you could stuff between fresh-baked buns.
A fifth brother was born and, as their family grew, so did their
business. Four more restaurants with sit-down seating were added
to accommodate the growing clientele.
Now, over 20 years after Five Guys first opened, there are over
1,000 locations nationwide and over 1,500 units in development.
Five Guys continues to receive media attention and has grown a
cult-like following around the world.
