Metal-Free PEEK columns for HPLC and LC/MS
Analytes containing phosphate groups creates the formation of phosphate-iron complexes, which often lead
to deteriorated peak shape or poor precision of quantitative analysis. In the past, the residual metallic
impurities in the packing material were assumed to be the cause of such problem. However, the influence
of the column material also provide a big impact to such trace analytes in high sensitivity analysis.
InertSustain and Inertsil series HPLC columns are now available in PEEK hardwares to deliver excellent peak
shapes for various analytes without any adsorption. The chromatographic performance of these columns is
identical to their metal counterparts with the added advantage of simply better chemical Inertness.

PEEK columns are now available in sub-2 μm to 10 μm particle sizes
Generally, conventional PEEK hardware is tolerable up to a back
pressure of 20 MPa. The mechanical strength of PEEK is far less than
stainless steel and the durability to be very low as well. As illustrated
on the right, the introduction of a radically new Steel-Coated-PEEK
hardware offer maximum operating pressure of 80 MPa for sub-2 μm
columns achieving rapid analysis for analytes sensitive to frequently
used stainless steel columns.
Not only the hardware, but the frits are also made from PEEK, which
the sample contacts only PEEK.

    Metal-Free PEEK columnsfor HPLC・LC/MS Metal-Free PEEK columns for HPLC and LC/MS Analytes containing phosphate groups creates the formation of phosphate-iron complexes, which often lead to deteriorated peak shape or poor precision of quantitative analysis. In the past, the residual metallic impurities in the packing material were assumed to be the cause of such problem. However, the influence of the column material also provide a big impact to such trace analytes in high sensitivity analysis. InertSustain and Inertsil series HPLC columns are now available in PEEK hardwares to deliver excellent peak shapes for various analytes without any adsorption. The chromatographic performance of these columns is identical to their metal counterparts with the added advantage of simply better chemical Inertness.
