21. HOW TO GET YOUR RESTING
AND WORKING HEART RATE?
22.
23.
24. LOWER Resting Heart Rate
➔ A lower resting heart rate is better when it comes to
your health. It’s a sign your heart is working well.
➔ When it's lower, your heart pumps more blood with
each contraction and easily keeps a regular beat.
➔ A slower than normal pulse is common in people who
are physically fit.
➔ If your resting heart rate is regularly below 60 beats
per minute but you’re not active, see your doctor,
especially if you feel dizzy or short of breath.
25. HIGHER Resting Heart Rate
➔ A high resting heart rate may mean your heart
works extra hard to pump blood.
➔ If your pulse is consistently more than 100
beats per minute at rest, it’s a good idea to see
your doctor.
➔ Over time, a high resting heart rate may affect
how your heart works. A high rate can also raise
your chances of cardiovascular disease.
26. IMPORTANCE of getting
heart rate:
Weight loss
Stronger heart
Lowers cholesterol
Circulation- improve blood circulation
Lowers blood pressure
30. Why does unintentional
injury happen when engaging
in sports or exercise?
➢ Lack of training and awareness
➢ Improper gear
➢ Doing too much too quickly
➢ Not warming up or stretching
enough
32. Common Injuries related to
sports and exercise:
A Strain is a
stretched or torn
muscle or tendon
33. Common Injuries related to
sports and exercise:
Knee Injuries are
caused by twisting
or bending force
applied to the knee
34. Common Injuries related to
sports and exercise:
The Achilles Tendon
is a thin, powerful
tendon at the back
of your ankle.
35. Common Injuries related to
sports and exercise:
Four pieces of muscle
work together to form the
rotator cuff.
The rotator cuff keeps
your shoulder moving in
all directions.
37. FRACTURES
a crack or a break

immobilize the
injured part of the
body.

38. Common Injuries related to
sports and exercise:
Dislocations
bone is forced out
from its normal
joint position.
Immobilizing it
will help prevent
further pain and
injury.
43. First aid refers to the emergency or immediate care you
should provide when a person is injured or ill until full
medical treatment is available. For minor conditions, first
aid care may be enough. For serious problems, first aid
care should be continued until more advanced care
becomes available.
