PDHPE should be taught in primary schools because it supports students' development as whole people by addressing their social, mental, physical, and spiritual health. PDHPE develops important life skills like movement, problem-solving, communication, interaction, and decision-making that allow students to lead healthy and fulfilling lives. It also teaches personal and social skills needed for social interaction and gives students a basis for resilience to manage their own lives, especially for disadvantaged students who may not otherwise learn how to improve their health.
