Luis Felipe Roland has been selected as the winner of the PDASE 2017 Scholarship Award. As the recipient, Luis will be invited to attend a Winter Social in his honor on December 7th in Raleigh, NC. The application required applicants to be a current PDA student member, have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0, and submit an application, unofficial transcript, and 500-750 word essay on a topic of interest in the pharmaceutical industry by November 27th. Luis Felipe Roland's winning essay was titled "Gene Therapy and the potential for personalized medicine to revolutionize the biopharmaceutical industry and health outcomes."

Applicants will be notified via email and phone if they are selected, and will be
invited to attend a Winter Social in their honor on the evening of December 7th in
Raleigh, NC.
• Minimum Acceptance Criteria:
• Current Student Member of PDA. (Student membership can be obtained at
www.pda.org)
• Must be in good academic standing and currently pursuing a science, engineering,
or related degree at a college or university in one of the following states: NC, SC,
VA, TN, GA, FL, KY, AL, LA, MS, or AR.
• Overall GPA of ≥ 3.0. Transcript Required (unofficial is acceptable)
• Must have a valid Social Security Number at the time of application submission
