Digital transformation requires companies to change their strategies to remain competitive in a digitally changing world. However, companies struggle with recognizing digitalization's impact and prioritizing change activities. The initial phase of formulating an organizational change strategy, known as the "fuzzy front-end", is ill-defined and important to improve. The document analyzes research from information systems, management/strategy, and organization science perspectives on the fuzzy front-end phase of digital transformation strategy formulation. Key findings include the need for stronger IT understanding, monitoring customer and tech changes, involving employees, and viewing strategy formulation as a collaborative process. The document contributes that the fuzzy front-end is a fruitful area for further interdisciplinary research.

Akerlof's market for lemons theory describes how asymmetric information between buyers and sellers in a market can cause market failure. When buyers cannot reliably assess the quality of goods for sale, they will assume the average quality is lower and be unwilling to pay high prices. This forces sellers to lower prices which then incentivizes them to lower quality further. The market may reach a point where only low quality "lemons" remain for sale, even though buyers would pay more for higher quality goods if quality could be verified.

India operates nuclear fuel mines within the country to supply its nuclear power plants. Nuclear power currently provides a small but important portion of India's overall power supply.
Virtacore and tw telecom have partnered to provide cloud, network, and data center services that allow customers to easily deploy flexible cloud solutions. The partnership utilizes tw telecom's eLynk private data service to securely connect customers to Virtacore's cloud infrastructure hosted in Equinix data centers. This provides customers with a scalable and secure Ethernet cloud connection. In addition, customers can increase their bandwidth as needed and gain visibility into network performance metrics. The combination of Virtacore's cloud infrastructure and tw telecom's secure connection enables customers to extend their IT infrastructure to the cloud while maintaining security, control, and improved business performance.
The author decided at age 17 to serve a Mormon mission. After two years of preparation, she received a calling to serve in Norway, which caused anxiety due to not knowing the language or culture. During the flight to her missionary training, she prayed for peace. In training, she struggled due to dyslexia but was determined to simply be herself in Norwegian. Nine months into her mission, she realized with gratitude that she had achieved her goal. Her mission taught her the importance of goal setting, hard work, and relying on love for God and others to overcome challenges.

Prosjektet gjøres i samarbeid med Marika Lüders også forsker ved SINTEF. Jan Håvard Skjetne ved SINTEF har også bidratt med intervjuer og brukertester av Facebookbrukere. Endelig rapport kommer i slutten av Oktober.

Kjell Atle Halvorsen: (Lærerutdanningen ved NTNU) Når elever utstyres med bærbare pc-er på nett i tradisjonelle klasserom hvor det drives ”god gammel” – og lærersentrert – klasseromsundervisning, sier det seg sjøl at de nye mulighetene teknologien gir, lett avleder og stjeler elevoppmerksomhet. Mange vil fristes til å besøke nettsider som ikke nødvendigvis er relevante for skolearbeidet, eller til å chatte med kompiser i liknende situasjoner. Dette går særlig ut over dem som ikke er mest motiverte for skolearbeid. Skal vi få mer kunnskap igjen for millioninvesteringene i ikt til skolene, kan vi ikke fortsette å undervise som før, bare med pc på pulten og strøm på tavla. Ny teknologi framtvinger ny praksis og ny organisering av denne praksisen. Skolen kan ikke fortsette som om boktrykkerkunsten var siste nytt i undervisningsteknologi.
