The South Rim receives less than 16 inches of precipitation per year along with 60 inches of snow on average, while the North Rim receives more at 27 inches and 144 inches of snow. Temperatures vary greatly between the rims and within the Inner Gorge, with summer highs over 100°F and winter lows below zero.
