Bursa Malaysia is the stock exchange of Malaysia that was established in 1964 and was previously known as the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange. It provides information to investors and acts to improve the economy and pave the way for individual investors. The Security Commission of Malaysia is the statutory body responsible for regulating and developing Malaysia's capital markets, established in 1993 under the Security Commission Act. It regulates takeovers and mergers, unit trusts, licenses financial professionals, and approves corporate bond issues and prospectuses.
