Paul Revere’s Ride
The Capture The British began their march through Cambridge Paul Revere and William Dawes left Lexington for Concord on their 2 nd  mission of the night. While they were traveling they met up with Dr. Prescott and the three of them decided to warn the countryside in fear of being captured. Outside of Lexington they ran into two horseman and planned to attack, but there were hidden soldiers. Revere was captured, but later on released.
The Mission General Thomas Gage had begun taking the necessary preparations to take down the movement. He wanted to cripple the rebel movement before it could grow larger. The British and New England people were both getting ready, but neither were ready to make the first move.
The Mercury of the Revolution After the Boston Tea Party, Boston became the center of a network of committees and congresses. Paul Revere played a prominent role in many of these committees.
The Boston Massacre An incident that led to the deaths of five civilians at the hands of British redcoats on March 5, 1770. Aftermath helped spark the rebellion in some of the British American colonies, which eventually turned into the American Revolutionary War.
