I was employed in the Quality Assurance Department as a Final Inspector and I was responsible
for final checks on all on all products and release of these products to the shipping dept.
My Duties included;
Visual examination of products after testing for potential damage and correct
marking/stamping.
Assist customer third party inspectors to carry out duties.
Measuring and examining threads unique to the oil and gas industry, logging of data sheets
for each thread for traceability etc.( Vam, Tenaris etc ) ( Vallourec approved thread inspector)
Ensuring that customer Quality Plans are stringently adhered to.
Reviewing pressure test charts for compliance with specific requirements.
Liaise with engineers to ensure all quality problems are dealt with.
Reviewing raw material certificates for compliance with engineering requirements.
5. Measuring component parts with micrometers, verniers, plug gauges, thread gauges and all
the usual inspection equipment that would be found in an inspection department.

Stripdown inspection of returned products to determine why they had failed testing/running.

A little about myself
I have extensive knowledge on MPI and Dye penetrant procedures. I am the youngest of my
family I have one sister and 2 bothers, I was born on the 19th
March 1977, I have been married
to my wife Claire for nearly 6 years and we have one daughter named Ruby.
I am a keen sports man and I regularly play Rugby, 5 a side football, golf and occasionally fish.
