USA Special Olympics allows individuals with allows individuals with intellectual disabilities the freedom to be themselves. USA Special Olympics recognizes and celebrates the success of individuals with intellectual disabilities. ! ______________________________“ “Actively managing the asset, requires a top down mandate and a bottom up understanding of why it’s important”(Wheeler,40.) This quote applies to the USA Special Olympics as it starts up celebrating the individuals having intellectual disabilities, but for this to occur it requires great dedication from the olympians families,coaches,and financial support from many organizations. Special Olympian Tanealya Hueth approached Congress with a dollar in one hand and seven in the other hand. she proclaimed $1 given turns into $7 for athletes health. Congress agreed.

Her Excellency President Joyce Banda, of the Republic of Malawi in partnership with Special Olympics firmly recognized critical needs and importance of individuals with intellectual disabilities and placed this on their global development agenda South Africa seeks to increase the awareness and value of individuals of all ages having intellectual disabilities South Africa Special Olympics is a the only growing movement in Africa,where the acceptance and celebration of the gifts of people with intellectual disabilities has just begun to be recognized. The African Leaders Forum on Disability Officially signed the first ever national protocol Agreement between the Special Olympics program and the National Government resulting in a greater awareness and celebration of individuals with intellectual disabilities. ! ! In February 2014, Special Olympics and the South Africa Nation calls to humanity to help build a fair and just society,which includes include those having intellectual disabilities to have access all benefits. South Africa founded in 1992, presently reaches over 32,000 special olympians in 9 different Provinces.
