Patrick Come To Me Analysis
This is one of the biggest themes in this novel. Because there are so many immigrants to Canada
during the time of the novel (1913–1940), "North America is still without language, gestures and
work and bloodlines are the only currency." The novel explores different forms of language besides
words. Patrick comes to live in a Macedonian immigrant community in Toronto; even though he is a
native Canadian, he is isolated by language in his own country. But he learns to relate to those
around him, and at a moment when he is in the Teck Cinema watching a silent film and laughing out
loud, he looks up and catches the eye of someone else laughing, and they "have the same realization
– that this mutual laughter is conversation." And before this, when

E Comes Running Towards Me Essay
E comes running towards me and says, "Hemal, come I will show you something." "Yes, please." I
replied and followed E. E ran towards the big boxes placed in the outside area. She climbs the big
box and holds the monkey bar with both her hands. She looks towards me and says, "Look," and
gently hops off the big box. E starts swinging on the monkey bars. She looks towards the second bar
and leaves her right hand from the first bar and holds the second bar. Then she leaves her left hand
from the first monkey bar and holds the second monkey bar. E repeats the same procedure till she
reaches the seventh (last) monkey bar. E lets go both her hands and both her feet stamps on the
ground. Her body is bent. She stands straight and looks towards me with her chin held up high and
says, "See that was so easy. I want to climb on top of the monkey bar. Will you help me?" "Yes, E.
Go ahead, I will stand just next to you and will help you at the time of need", I informed E. E climbs
up the big box again. She bends her body to hold the first hook of the monkey bar and bends her
body. The upper half of E's body is on top of the monkey bars. E pushes her body forward and hols
the second bar. Now three–fourth of E's body is on top of the monkey bars. E looks towards me and
questions, "Now, how to move ahead?" "E hold the second bar with both your hands and place your
right foot on the first monkey bar and give a little push to your body." I guided E. E puts her right
foot on the first monkey

graduate while being pregnant. Yes I understand that most people would think that my life has made
a turn for the worst but me I feel like everything happens for a reason although I did not plan this
whatsoever I still have to do what I have to do to provide a supportive life for me and my new
edition. This is my senior year and some may say this should be the easiest year but for me it is the
most important year. I have to make sure I stay on track with my gpa, my grades, my credits, etc.

I come back I expect to be caught up with everything I need to have done and not to be behind on
anything. I want to come back to school basically where I left off not trying to get out of a whole I
dug myself because I was not focused. The fact that I am going to have a baby soon should be
enough to make me realize that I can't afford to mess up and I have to stay focused not just for me
but for my baby. I am trying to make sure my senior year is as normal as possible, I have to work
really hard all year. Before I take leave to make sure my grades are not already bad, during to make

Persuasive Essay About Being Gay
"Hey Shelby, I have to tell you something but I honestly don't know how to say it." "James what is
it, I'm scared. Why does it take this much energy to just tell me something?" "Here, I'll write it on a
piece of paper and don't open it until after I leave." (A few minutes later) "Aww James you're gay I
always knew it thanks for telling me." "Umm I kind of can't talk right now I'm in class." Growing up
as a homosexual male has been challenging for me. This challenge has resulted in me not accepting
my own self and reality, and coming to terms with who I really am. I've tried to deny it, date girls
and just prove that I was straight, but I was tired of lying to myself and others. Being gay has always
been frowned upon in today's society and it is a sad reality. I have finally come to terms with who I
am, and this is me! I am gay! Growing up as a gay male has been a hard thing in today's society.
Due to the unfortunate circumstances that happened in Orlando and knowing that being gay isn't the
new "cool"; people have a hard time coming out because they don't want to be a minority. This is
exactly what happened to me. I am 16 years old and I have always known about my sexuality. I tried
to cover up my sexuality by dating girls, and denying it to my friends, family, and myself. I wanted
to tell people, but I know that some people wouldn't like the reality of me being gay. People like my
parents, or some of my "friends" would have a problem with me being gay. My family is one

Personal Narrative: If You Come With Me
Well a few years after leaving the O'Jays my new group Dunn & Bruce Street has a new record
released. Suddenly, I am receiving multiple calls from Maxine to please come to Philly. I finally go
and upon arrival at her house, she greets me with a different atmosphere. Her apartment is candlelit
and smells of good food on the stove saturated the room; never had it like this before. Maxine has
run a bath for me and invites me to just lie in bed for serving. She has the radio on and to my
delight, our song plays 3 times in an hour representing high rotation. Okay, now I know why the
multiple desperate calls, but this is my Maxine so I'm cool. Soon dinner is served and Maxine
continues to serve every possible need I could ever have. I am in shock at the 'heightened' sexual
experience she exhibits. I'm beginning to not enjoy what should have been ecstasy on steroids
because this groupie is performing like a professional. Our song title "If You Come With Me" is

Reflection About Values
In today's world, we are at a period where we as people are trying to discover who we are? And how
can it be changed or shaped to our lives? It can be correlated with our values since we live in a
society that turns or improves on what our values behold for us, in the time being. Since I am
starting a new chapter in my life, I have begun to notice that I will be changing my point of views
when it comes to specific topics that come across to me. It is relevant to me because I am a
freshman in college, I will be exposed to different points of views, different setting, and a new
vibrant diversity that surrounds me.
What comes along with values is that it can be broken down into categories when it comes to along
to the person we all carry different perspective and interruption of life we all come from different
lifestyles, backgrounds, and cultures. This is what makes us interesting as individuals who evaluate
our values in this world since it can change daily due to opinions. We are different from today's day
in age since we have an environment that is surrounded by social media, my generation is so
advanced with technology and education that it can inform us today with topics to discuss or even
build an opinion on it.
The importance of having values in your life is to balance out your personality and to build off of
your characteristics. The reason why it is essential to have this because over a period of your
lifetime you begin to develop who you are and what is your purpose for society, this will show you
what are you apart of and what do you want to have for your future. Also what is the result you want
to have or even what demonstration do you want to present to your peers. This can be a teachable
moment for you while learning about yourself since you can see what others character traits in their
values you should come across comparing values and learn why they look at a particular perspective
differently are. This can be a point where you can see this in yourself know how this can shift your
views and see how others think about topics and see how you can build off them, especially be
prepared to answer a question to an audience of peers.
How does this correlate with my upbringing in life? While growing up

such horrible times she is going to be the reason I want to survive this war. However that's not my
only reason to believe that light can come out of darkness. I told Lena the story of how it was in the

mother. She was a drunk, who never did anything for me, but when we came to ghetto she showed
me how much she loved me and how strong she was. This showed me that light can come out of
darkness because these circumstances that we endured brought out the good in my mother. The
mother who sacrificed herself for me to survive. On top of that I was lucky to find a good man that I

The Key Abilities Of Being A Successful Leader
I would define success as being trusted and respected by those who are in my life. Having gained
the trust and respect of a person to me shows that I have been successful in my job as a leader,
friend, parent, and partner. Having the trust and respect of others is one of the key abilities of being
a successful leader. Having a positive influence on people is one of the many jobs of being an
effective leader.
In our book, Clement Stone is credited as saying, "Analyze your life in terms of its environment.
Are the things around you helping you toward success – or are they holding you back?" The same
can be said for the people in your life. Are they there to help guide you to be a better leader or are
they holding back your abilities of becoming successful.
1. I work with several other teachers at my job. I have been there for less than a year and in that time
have grown to trust many of them and consider them friends. Many times they have come to me
looking for assistance and asking my advice on certain subjects. Having them come to me with these
things makes me feel trusted and respected. A feeling that they value my opinion and truly trust what
advice I may give them.
A few months after starting with the school, I had a teacher come to me and ask for advice on a
certain student and what I would recommend to help the child in the scenario they had given me.
The fact that the other teacher felt comfortable coming to me and took my advice showed me that
they trusted and

Come Walk With Me Annotation
In Come walk with me, Emily Bronte had one special person to make her happy. She describes what
that person did to make her feel special, such as "wondering through the snow" (line 3). Emily
Bronte does not want to have the memories, for she feels lonely now and those recollections she had
with the special person only makes her feel worse. She wish she could reverse time and have spent
good more old days for she is going through so much pain. Emily Bronte uses personification when
she says "the clouds rush dark and wild" (First Stanza) this is used to represent her feelings and how
everyday her memories are there but not the person she desires. The theme here is darkness, which
is what accompanies Emily Bronte at this moment. The theme presented in the second stanza is
death, Emily Bronte commences her stanza by saying that she once had so many people to
accompany her during the state of loneliness "but death had stolen our company" (Second Stanza).
She uses a simile to compare Death to Sunshine, both have stolen something from life. At this point
her only partner is the one she is talking about. Since they "are the only two left" (Second Stanza),
this causes them to have a stronger bond that their feelings combine to form the same. ... Show more

Unfortunately, time did not give her a chance to discover love. The time has arrived, Death has
taken her last love, and buried him under the soil. She is mourning for his death "though the soil will
be wet with tears" (Stanza 3). The last line "time parts the hearts of men" (Stanza 3) can emphasize
that it is time that separates one from true love. Here we see that Emily's true love has passed away,
when she was just about to give him true

Come Fly With Me Narrative Essay
As I lay on the side of a pothole filled road, leaking through my torn Kevlar jacket. I graze my neck
with my index finger. Then run my finger across a slit running across my neck from the right side of
my carbon fiber helmet to my left shoulder. I imagine a better place. Maybe dinner tonight with my
pretty lady and some deep dish sausage and onion pizza. I see Frank Sinatra with pulled back brown
hair, a top hat and a black suit with a red bow tie standing on a stage. He starts singing, "Come Fly
with Me".
My first love story may not be like the typical Romeo and Juliet, but hey to say the least it is a love
story and "MY" love story. Now, I have never had a girlfriend. Until I met her at the age of sixteen.
She was an alright little darling, about a seven on a scale of one to ten. She was smart, skinny, and
had a moderate look in the daylight. Maybe if you saw her at night after a few cocktails she would
look better. I could have asked the old man in the clouds for better, but she would be just right.

Little Pig Let Me Come In Summary
Once upon a time... There were three little pigs, who left their mother and father to see the world.
During the summer of time the three little pigs laughed and played carefree.
Then when winter came they needed to build a house.
The first that went off met a Horse with a bundle of straw, and said to hi m: "Please, Horse, give me
that straw to build me a house."
Which the Horse did, and the little pig built a house with it.
Presently came along a wolf, and knocked at the door, and said:
"Little pig, little pig, let me come in."
To which the pig answered:"No, not on your life."
The wolf then answered to that:
"Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house in."
So he huffed, and he puffed, and he blew his house in, and ate up the little pig.

Movie Analysis : Cinderella, And Being Fascinated
Ever since I was a little girl, I was surrounded by all things Disney. I can remember watching my
first movie, Cinderella, and being fascinated by the animations, storyline and characters. It may
sound cliché but it made me feel so delighted and that all of my problems had simply disappeared.
At first, it didn't occur to me how much an impact that Disney left in my life until I noticed how
much I was surrounded by the culture. A part of me will always include my Disney side and it has
taught me to become young at heart, have a positive outlook on life and to strive for a goal. Walt
Disney said "Too many people grow up. That's the real trouble with the world...They forget. They
don't remember what it's like to be 12 years old." Whether it was watching Disney movies, shows,
or even going for a Disneyland trip, it allowed me to become young at heart. Every time I'm asked
what do I love or what my hobbies are, all Disney related things come to mind. Because some
people expect me to be more of an adult, the answer I will most likely get is, "Why? Isn't Disney
just for kids?" or "You should grow up." But honestly, getting in touch with my Disney side lets me
be myself and content. To me, the fairytales and magic that Disney has created in their theme parks
and movies aren't meant to be just limited to young children. Instead, they were also designed for
the ones who are young at heart as Walt Disney said in his opening speech, "To all who come to this
happy place: Welcome.

Frank Sinatra Come Fly With Me Theory

Frank Sinatra–Come Fly With me
Introduction: Frank Sinatra was born in Hoboken New jersey. Sinatra rose to fame singing in big
band numbers in the 40s and 50s. He had a dazzling array of one of his most iconic being 'come fly
with me', discussed later. Sinatra was a born entertainer however he found himself in trouble
numerous times due to his love affairs and his connection with the mob. Sinatra's mob connections
ran deep in particular his admiration for high profile mobster Giancana and J§oe Fistchetti
(NewYorkpost,2016). Sinatra idolized the Fistchetti couple with all his life.

Come fly with me peaked at no 2 in the charts on 13th September 1958 (officalcharts.com,2017).
Come Fly With Me was taken from the album of the same name. Sinatra wrote the song in the
mind–set that he epitomized during the decade of having a good life and having a good time. In the
lyrics ''let's float down to Peru'', Sinatra shows off his wealth, that he can just jet off whenever it
suited him. When it came to his stage persona on stage, during performance of this song Sinatra
would have beautiful women on stage with him clearly showing his ladies' man persona. There's a
particular performance of this song where Sinatra jokes saying 'And don't tell your

and every time I do something wrong and not worth it, she's always there telling me the story about
how I almost died and how she doesn't want to lose me to some bad choice's I have made. The
importance of that little "our miracle" story is, it's coming from her more than anything. Her saying
those things makes me rethink the life choices I have made and tells me how much I really mean to

Reflective Essay About My Family
I never realized how hard it'd be to come out, especially to family members. I have yet to come out
to my parents, but I have to some of the other members of my family. My family isn't, let's just say
"not" that supportive of that community. Having have heard the many things they've said about how
they dislike the LGBTQIA+ community and people that are a part of it, I've still been scared to
come out to them; with the fear of them not wanting me, or disowning me. That fear lurks within
me, like a shadow that comes out during the night.
During these years after I found out about my sexual orientation and my gender orientation, thinking
of how i'd tell my parents is all that's been in my mind a lot. I'd sit for hours on end thinking about
it. The thoughts of it echoed around my head each and every time it was brought up. I've tried to
build up my confidence to come out to them, but it always ends up going downhill. When I said
downhill, I meant that I'd either run away when I'd get close to asking them and saying "Oh nothing,
nevermind." or I'd just think of ways around that idea and ignore it for days, months and even years.
However, i've come out to other family members as well. I've only come out to some of many
cousins that I have; other family members just found out because they're friends with me on
Facebook. The reason being is that in the past, I've posted things about one of my past relationships
on there and forgotten that I had family who can see them. The posts

Rap Song Critique
It may seem out of the ordinary for someone like me to relate my entire life to a rap song, but it has
been the case for several years. Specific lyrics ringing through my head whenever those moments
come to me. A motto that spirals into a message of questioning, and wondering to life and the
decisions behind it. A song that makes me reassure my decisions, marking that this is my one chance
and that, I got to make the most out of it with the risks I take. It's a whimsical sense of wondering in
shallow pools of optimism on the what if's involved. Did I do the right thing? What if I didn't? It's
all apart of the mental checklist that flows like a creek in the forest of my mind. Overall, my life
isn't defined by the shortcuts I take, but instead

Comparing Two Love Poems
The Passionate Shepard to His Love, written by Christopher Marlow is a sonnet about love and
persuasion. Marlow is trying to persuade his crush to "come live" with him, and be his "love."
Marlow's sonnet is very similar to the song Come on Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners, because
they are both seduction pieces. In Come on Eileen, the singer is attempting to win his long time
crush over, asking her to come run away with him. The choice of the words the singer and the poet
say, convey that they cannot live without the person they love; which is one of the main themes of
both pieces. Many devices are used in both works; one that is evident in both pieces is imagery. In
Christopher Marlow's poem, he uses imagery to persuade his love to live with him. Marlow talks
about the "finest wool" and a "thousand fragrant posies," as he tries to win his love over. In Come on
Eileen, the singer uses imagery by persuading Eileen to not be like the "beaten–down" and "smoke–
dried" people of her town; asking Eileen to run away with him and have a better life. Another device
used is in both pieces is repetition. In The Passionate Shepard to His love, Marlow repeats the ...

In Come on Eileen, the singer says: "wear beaten–down eyes sunk in smoke dried face, They're so
resigned to what their fate is." In the quote previously indicated, the singer says how the people of
his small town are unhappy and that they do not care; indicating that if he is with Eileen, they will
both have a better life. In The Passionate Shepard to his Love, Marlow mentions the wonders of his
farm. "Come live with me, and be my love, And we will all the pleasures prove." Marlow idealizes
his life on the farm and tells his love that her life will be better if he comes and lives with him. Both
of these quotations are related because both authors are persuading their loves to be with them, with
promises of a happier and better

My Life Is The Most Important Choices In Life Analysis
The world around us changes every day. It is the choice to whether we accept the change that will
determine who we become. Once a week I sit on a bench in a park just off of 19th street. It is
nothing special. A playground with a few swings with rusted chains, A slide with a bump in the
middle, and a wooden park bench that is held together by the strength of two bolts. This park though
at the surface appears to just be a park happens to be one of the most significant places in my life.
Four years ago I had to make one of the most important decisions of my life. Whether I stay, living
my life handicapped and in pain or if I leave, crossover into the next chapter of my life and live
unrecompensed and without effort. What would seem to be an easy and obvious choice was nearly
impossible to make. The fine print was what my choice lacked. The fine print was something I was
not presented when the man in white gave me the choice. If I stayed I would be with my family for a
few more years but if I left and lived free I would have to leave them until they could come visit me
but eventually, they would come stay with me and we would all live together. I had a week to make
my choice. My grandparents came and visited me. They encouraged me to leave and go with them.
They said they hurt too but when they left home it all went away. They had a new home and that I
could come live with them until my parents could come and get me. Next, my parents came. They
just told me they wanted the

Poem Analysis: If Suddenly You Come For Me By N. Nor
I (Moriah) picked the poem "If Suddenly You Come for Me" by N. Nor, because one of the first
lines caught my attention, "To throw me in an iron cage." It gave a sense to me that they were being
tortured by people (which they were). In the poem she said she will not repent or rage. By that I
think she won't fight back to being tortured and won't resist being thrown into the crematorium. She
believed she had no hope left. She was just going to let whatever happened to her, happen to her.
Many people in the book were quite a like. Except her and Eliezer, he was the complete opposite he
was going to fight until he literally couldn't. I think this relates to the book because Eliezer's family
decided to go with everyone instead of running away they

Book Report On The Band Aid
"It was the craziest thing, Mom," Rhonda said, sitting next to me.
I nodded. "I agree." I'd been quiet the whole time.
Then I started from the beginning. Telling her mom and dad everything that happened and how fast
it happened. I think they felt sorry for my dad when I told them about the demon. I felt sorry for
him, too, in a way.
"Jesus will have to come to me in full sun for me to ever let you return to that house," Rhonda's
mom declared.
Rhonda smiled. "I told you."
"You were right."
Rhonda looked at me in mock shock. "Say it again so I can record it." She fumbled with her phone.
I rolled my eyes.
"I can't wait to see Alex's face tomorrow when he sees you," Rhonda said.
I touched the band–aid. "He'll be fine."
"I guess we'll see just how much resolve he 's got." She smiled devilishly.
Rhonda's mom slid a drink over to me "Someone tell me what's going on."
Rhonda seemed to enjoy telling her the plan. The corners of Mrs. Wallace's eyes smiled.
"I see his plan failing the moment you walk in the door," she said looking at me. "That boy is in love
with you. When you love someone all sanity just oozes out of your ears." She laughed looking at
Seamus.
Seamus walked up behind his wife and planted a kiss on her cheek. "Sanity is overrated."
She patted his hand. "I bet lunch is ready."

Personal Narrative Essay : Christmas Eve At My Home
It is Christmas Eve at my home. I just hung up my stocking, and I had a fireplace for Santa to come.
I knew it would not be long before Santa Clause come. He has to come because it is Christmas Eve.
He always comes on Christmas Eve. Every Christmas Eve, my mother lets me open one or two
presents. She also reads us a Christmas story. This Christmas Eve, I wonder what Santa Clause is
doing at the North Pole as I read the Christmas story. However, I wish I could go see Santa Clause
and Mrs. Clause at the North Pole. I want to see how they look, how they feel, how the north pole
look like, and how their house look and feel like. I really want to go see Santa Clause, but I feel
uncertain if I should go. I told myself that he would come, and Tiny Voice asked me what did I wish
for. I told Tiny voice that I wanted to go to the North Pole to see Santa Clause and Mrs.Clause. Tiny
Voice told me that I could go to the North Pole. Then Tiny voice handed me a pair of shoes and a
light. At first, the shoes look like they did not fit. I slipped on the shoes, and they fitted me perfectly.
As soon as I put the shoes on, I went up the chimney. I saw Jack Frost and the Star Beams busy
working, trying to make the world look beautiful for Santa. Away I went, getting higher and higher. I
was so high, I probably looked like a star in the sky. Maybe, I looked like an cloud in the sky. The
bizarre part about my adventure to the North Pole is that I seem to know the way perfectly. I always
went north. Never making any turns to the right or left. In my heart, I begin to feel like I was almost
to the North Pole. I began to feel excited as I saw a bright light around me. My heart made me begin
to make me feel happy and excited. I started feeling like I wanted to sing and laugh. I saw a path, so
I followed the path. The path leads up to a big house with many windows. When I got up closer to
the house, I saw many candles in the windows of the house. The candles were red, green, and
yellow. I knew right then that those were Christmas candles to light my destiny. It was the way for
me, and it told me that the house was Santa's house. Just as I neared the steps and knock on the door,
the door opened. A

Black Like Me : Racism And The Social Problems That Come...
The main theme of Black Like Me is Racism and the social problems that come with Racism.
Initially, John Griffin the author of this book, shows how painful it is to be discriminated against due
to someone 's skin color. He Also, he shows the ugliness of racists, and their personalities that have
been distorted by hatred. While experiencing the events of this book, Griffin endures hate stares,
threats, harassment, and humiliation. In retrospect, he is unable to find a job and, in accordance with
segregation, he is also unable to use restrooms or enter many establishments due to the color of his
skin. Through John 's experience, the only employment he was able to find was as a shoe shiner and
he only found this due to the kindness of one man, a black man. Likewise, John also had to walk far
out of his way just to be able to find a restroom or even a establishment to eat in, which are basic
human needs. In like manner, John also learned that, racism even exists among blacks themselves,
who value lighter skin over dark skin. Thus, making someone in your own race feel lesser, because
they are darker, which is know better than the white racists in this book. Moreover, darker skin
blacks were not only treated different by whites, but also by their own race. One would think that
black society would know how it feels to be judged by the color of their skin, so why would they

My Burden: Poem Analysis
Come here,
Come all.
Come criticize my burden,
Please,
Just send the best of your breed.
Look in my mirror,
Rip out my eyes,
Call upon my Freedom.
I'll tell you what I see.
I look in the mirror and I see a person,
Someone who stares back at me.
But that is not me.
That person is not who I want to be.
That person is not who I am told to be.
Growing up,
I always knew I was "different".
At a young age,
I had to face my affliction.
Cruelly enlightened,
I had to realize that my hair was not the shimmering rays of the sun,
And that my eyes were not the reflection of an American sky.
For me,
It was apparently, more obvious.
Same old,
Plain old:
Coffee bean eyes,
Nut–brown hair;
Plain and boring.
Yet,
I was made aware of another divider:

Come here,
Come all,
Please,
Come share our burden.
Just bring those who care,
Don't let others kill us with their glares.
Follow us,
Imitate us.
We are the colours,
We are the hyphens;
Hear our chant.
In our individualism,
We can still find patriotism.
"America, The Beautiful":
Land of Liberty and Prosperity.
In the end,
We just want to blend.
Give us respect.
Don't select,
Based on retrospect.
We are like you,
But with an addition:
With a hyphen.
Give us consideration,
Like the rest of the nation.
Don't base me off a modern "White Man's Burden":
Don't base us on their burden,
We have our own.
This is my nation,
This my land,
This is also your land,
This is also your nation.
Let us blend,
And defend,
The claims they send.
All we want is respect,
All we ask is for you to acknowledge us.
All I want is to be known,
But as an American who was born in America,
With blood that has traveled,
With ancestors who did not live to see this land:
As the girl with brown hair,
As the girl with brown eyes,
As the girl who tells you.
Yells and sells,
The story of me;
The story of us;
The story of my brethren;
The story of the Coloured– Americans:
The story of the Hyphenated– Americans.
Because here,

Come live with me and be my love
Focus: Marlowe's use of words in communicating the meaning of the poem and how his poem is a
memorable one.
The poem "come live with me and be my love" is a love poem written by Christopher Marlowe,
persuading his love to come and spend some time with him. It is a poem full of romantic and
passionate words that form natural imagery to convey the poet's feelings and what he means.
By the way the poet uses words to persuade his love, makes the poem similar to the poem, "To his
coy mistress".
In the first stanza, the poet says, "Come live with me and be my love". He just says "come" and does
not add "please" to show her a bit of urgency but in a polite or calm tone. He stresses on the ... Show

This sentence he has made also involves nature to show how he really wants them to relax. He also
uses the word, "seeing" to show to her that it is only for pleasure. He then says, "By shallow rivers
to whose falls". The poet uses the word, "river" because the river is indeed a peaceful and quiet
place to be and that that is what he wants. Then he says
"Melodious birds sing madrigals". Again he uses a natural imagery to create a nice impression in his
love's mind.
In this stanza, the poet is just beginning to try to capture his love's mind with calm and passionate
natural imagery.
"And I will make thee beds of roses and a thousand fragrant posies".
Although the persona is using natural imagery to capture his love's mind still, over here he uses this
allusion to convince his love to come and live with him. He uses this allusion because he knows that
roses cannot be made out posies no matter the amount, he wants to show to his love that he loves her
so much that he would do something impossible and something that could take forever. In the next
two sentences, he says, "A cap of flowers, and a kirtle Embroidered all with leaves of myrtle" to
explain to his love that if she comes to live with him, he would make her a kirtle (a skirt made with
leaves) of myrtle. He shows her that it would be a beautiful one when he uses the word, "Flowers".
Also, in this stanza, he uses natural imagery to convince his love.
In stanza four the persona

Calypso Music
CALYPSO MUSIC
Calypso is one of the most significant traditions in the Caribbean Music Industry. 'Come, Mister
tally man, tally me banana, daylight come and me wan' go home," are the words to a famous calypso
song recorded by Harry Belafonte in 1956. The Free Dictionary defines calypso music as 'a type of
music that originated in the West Indies, notably in Trinidad, and is characterized by improvised
lyrics on topical or broadly humorous subjects'. It can also be said that calypso is a certain style of
music which incorporates rhythms that are typical of African music. This type of music is seen
played during Carnival by Calypsonians, singers, who have prepared for the event all season long.

This rendition won him a Gold Record in Holland. He also recorded Frank Sinatra's My Way and
Lucho Gatica's "El Reloj". It can be said that 'The Mighty Sparrow' continued to climb the ladder of
success in his life, while becoming the most popular caypsonian of all time by the people. According
to Manuel (2006), Sparrow demonstrated year after year, with his social commentaries that the
calypsonian is really the eyes and ears of the people. Aldwyn Roberts, better known as 'Lord
Kitchener', shares with Mighty sparrow the title of the world's best known Calypso singer (Manuel,
2006). Aldwyn Roberts was the son of a blacksmith, Stephen, and homemaker Albertha. Kitchener's
success began after he moved to England in 1948. His fame continued throughout the 1950s, when
calypso achieved international success (wikipedia.org). He began his career in Trinidad and won his
first Road March award for singing in 1946. He and the Mighty Sparrow proceeded to dominate the
calypso competitions of the sixties and seventies. It has been stated that Lord Kitchener won the
road march competition ten times between 1965 and 1976, more times than any other calypsonian.
In the 1950s, he explored West Africa and enjoyed a big hit there with his single, "Nora". Farlex
mentioned that for 30 years, Lord Kitchener ran his own calypso tent, Calypso Revue, by which he
nurtured the talent of many calypsonians, who are: Calypso Rose, David Rudder, Black Stalin and

I see Frank Sinatra with pulled back brown
hair, a top hat and a black suit with a red bow tie standing upon the stage. He starts singing, "Come
Fly with Me". My first love story may not be like the typical Romeo and Juliet, but hey to say the
least it is a love story and "MY" love story. Now, I have never had a girlfriend. Until I met her at the
age of sixteen.
She was an alright little darling about a seven on a scale of one to ten. She was smart, skinny, and
had a moderate look at day. Maybe if you saw her at night after a few cocktails she would look
better. I could have asked the old man in the clouds for better, but she would be just right for a first
timer.
We met in Chicago near a hotel 8, strip clubby town called Rockford. The sight of crackheads on
each corner improved her attractive level significantly. She was a pale skinned blonde girl with a
tattoo of the American flag across her wrist, about six inches in length. After small talk she gave me
her number. Joy rushed through my body, I finally felt happy for once. We met the next day for
about fifteen minutes. She drove over to my house. I had

Patrick Come To Me Analysis

  • 1. Patrick Come To Me Analysis This is one of the biggest themes in this novel. Because there are so many immigrants to Canada during the time of the novel (1913–1940), "North America is still without language, gestures and work and bloodlines are the only currency." The novel explores different forms of language besides words. Patrick comes to live in a Macedonian immigrant community in Toronto; even though he is a native Canadian, he is isolated by language in his own country. But he learns to relate to those around him, and at a moment when he is in the Teck Cinema watching a silent film and laughing out loud, he looks up and catches the eye of someone else laughing, and they "have the same realization – that this mutual laughter is conversation." And before this, when ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. E Comes Running Towards Me Essay E comes running towards me and says, "Hemal, come I will show you something." "Yes, please." I replied and followed E. E ran towards the big boxes placed in the outside area. She climbs the big box and holds the monkey bar with both her hands. She looks towards me and says, "Look," and gently hops off the big box. E starts swinging on the monkey bars. She looks towards the second bar and leaves her right hand from the first bar and holds the second bar. Then she leaves her left hand from the first monkey bar and holds the second monkey bar. E repeats the same procedure till she reaches the seventh (last) monkey bar. E lets go both her hands and both her feet stamps on the ground. Her body is bent. She stands straight and looks towards me with her chin held up high and says, "See that was so easy. I want to climb on top of the monkey bar. Will you help me?" "Yes, E. Go ahead, I will stand just next to you and will help you at the time of need", I informed E. E climbs up the big box again. She bends her body to hold the first hook of the monkey bar and bends her body. The upper half of E's body is on top of the monkey bars. E pushes her body forward and hols the second bar. Now three–fourth of E's body is on top of the monkey bars. E looks towards me and questions, "Now, how to move ahead?" "E hold the second bar with both your hands and place your right foot on the first monkey bar and give a little push to your body." I guided E. E puts her right foot on the first monkey ... Why does it take this much energy to just tell me something?" "Here, I'll write it on a piece of paper and don't open it until after I leave." (A few minutes later) "Aww James you're gay I always knew it thanks for telling me." "Umm I kind of can't talk right now I'm in class." Growing up as a homosexual male has been challenging for me. This challenge has resulted in me not accepting my own self and reality, and coming to terms with who I really am. I've tried to deny it, date girls and just prove that I was straight, but I was tired of lying to myself and others. Being gay has always been frowned upon in today's society and it is a sad reality. I have finally come to terms with who I am, and this is me! I am gay! Growing up as a gay male has been a hard thing in today's society. Due to the unfortunate circumstances that happened in Orlando and knowing that being gay isn't the new "cool"; people have a hard time coming out because they don't want to be a minority. This is exactly what happened to me. I am 16 years old and I have always known about my sexuality. I tried to cover up my sexuality by dating girls, and denying it to my friends, family, and myself. I wanted to tell people, but I know that some people wouldn't like the reality of me being gay. People like my parents, or some of my "friends" would have a problem with me being gay. Suddenly, I am receiving multiple calls from Maxine to please come to Philly. I finally go and upon arrival at her house, she greets me with a different atmosphere. Her apartment is candlelit and smells of good food on the stove saturated the room; never had it like this before. Maxine has run a bath for me and invites me to just lie in bed for serving. She has the radio on and to my delight, our song plays 3 times in an hour representing high rotation. Okay, now I know why the multiple desperate calls, but this is my Maxine so I'm cool. Soon dinner is served and Maxine continues to serve every possible need I could ever have. I am in shock at the 'heightened' sexual experience she exhibits. • 22. Reflection About Values In today's world, we are at a period where we as people are trying to discover who we are? And how can it be changed or shaped to our lives? It can be correlated with our values since we live in a society that turns or improves on what our values behold for us, in the time being. Since I am starting a new chapter in my life, I have begun to notice that I will be changing my point of views when it comes to specific topics that come across to me. It is relevant to me because I am a freshman in college, I will be exposed to different points of views, different setting, and a new vibrant diversity that surrounds me. What comes along with values is that it can be broken down into categories when it comes to along to the person we all carry different perspective and interruption of life we all come from different lifestyles, backgrounds, and cultures. This is what makes us interesting as individuals who evaluate our values in this world since it can change daily due to opinions. We are different from today's day in age since we have an environment that is surrounded by social media, my generation is so advanced with technology and education that it can inform us today with topics to discuss or even build an opinion on it. The importance of having values in your life is to balance out your personality and to build off of your characteristics. The reason why it is essential to have this because over a period of your lifetime you begin to develop who you are and what is your purpose for society, this will show you what are you apart of and what do you want to have for your future. Also what is the result you want to have or even what demonstration do you want to present to your peers. • 24. World War 2 Soldiers Dialectical Journal I don't know what i'm thinking. What I want to do is very dangerous and could get me killed. I'm a three month pregnant girl who wants to keep my child but jewish children are being round up by the nazis and sent to "children camps" to be trained and re–educated, I have no idea what to do so I tell my best friend, Lena, she tells me to tell Siegfried. The only thing about that is that i'm scared for his reaction, he is a nazi soldier who is by law not supposed to be fraternizing with me, however I promised myself that when he comes back from his delivery detail I will tell him. Siegfried then comes back and I tell him that I am pregnant, he tells me that everything will be ok and that we will take things day by day. I believe him when he tells ... This shows how even that Lena may not approve of my decision to keep the baby she understands why I would want to. It shows that light can come out of darkness, because this baby will be my everything. Even though he or she was conceived during such horrible times she is going to be the reason I want to survive this war. However that's not my only reason to believe that light can come out of darkness. I told Lena the story of how it was in the ghetto when my mother was living. I said, "When we'd return from work, she'd make us dinner, She always told me she wasn't hungry. Shed take a few bites and say, 'Here, Karolina, you eat the rest.'..... My mother sacrificed herself and starved so I could live." Before the war I despised my mother. She was a drunk, who never did anything for me, but when we came to ghetto she showed me how much she loved me and how strong she was. This showed me that light can come out of darkness because these circumstances that we endured brought out the good in my mother. The mother who sacrificed herself for me to survive. • 28. The Key Abilities Of Being A Successful Leader I would define success as being trusted and respected by those who are in my life. Having gained the trust and respect of a person to me shows that I have been successful in my job as a leader, friend, parent, and partner. Having the trust and respect of others is one of the key abilities of being a successful leader. Having a positive influence on people is one of the many jobs of being an effective leader. In our book, Clement Stone is credited as saying, "Analyze your life in terms of its environment. Are the things around you helping you toward success – or are they holding you back?" The same can be said for the people in your life. Are they there to help guide you to be a better leader or are they holding back your abilities of becoming successful. 1. I work with several other teachers at my job. I have been there for less than a year and in that time have grown to trust many of them and consider them friends. Many times they have come to me looking for assistance and asking my advice on certain subjects. Having them come to me with these things makes me feel trusted and respected. A feeling that they value my opinion and truly trust what advice I may give them. A few months after starting with the school, I had a teacher come to me and ask for advice on a certain student and what I would recommend to help the child in the scenario they had given me. The fact that the other teacher felt comfortable coming to me and took my advice showed me that they trusted and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 30. Come Walk With Me Annotation In Come walk with me, Emily Bronte had one special person to make her happy. She describes what that person did to make her feel special, such as "wondering through the snow" (line 3). Emily Bronte does not want to have the memories, for she feels lonely now and those recollections she had with the special person only makes her feel worse. She wish she could reverse time and have spent good more old days for she is going through so much pain. Emily Bronte uses personification when she says "the clouds rush dark and wild" (First Stanza) this is used to represent her feelings and how everyday her memories are there but not the person she desires. The theme here is darkness, which is what accompanies Emily Bronte at this moment. The theme presented in the second stanza is death, Emily Bronte commences her stanza by saying that she once had so many people to accompany her during the state of loneliness "but death had stolen our company" (Second Stanza). She uses a simile to compare Death to Sunshine, both have stolen something from life. At this point her only partner is the one she is talking about. Since they "are the only two left" (Second Stanza), this causes them to have a stronger bond that their feelings combine to form the same. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 32. Come Fly With Me Narrative Essay As I lay on the side of a pothole filled road, leaking through my torn Kevlar jacket. I graze my neck with my index finger. Then run my finger across a slit running across my neck from the right side of my carbon fiber helmet to my left shoulder. I imagine a better place. Maybe dinner tonight with my pretty lady and some deep dish sausage and onion pizza. I see Frank Sinatra with pulled back brown hair, a top hat and a black suit with a red bow tie standing on a stage. He starts singing, "Come Fly with Me". My first love story may not be like the typical Romeo and Juliet, but hey to say the least it is a love story and "MY" love story. Now, I have never had a girlfriend. Until I met her at the age of sixteen. She was an alright little darling, about a seven on a scale of one to ten. She was smart, skinny, and had a moderate look in the daylight. Maybe if you saw her at night after a few cocktails she would look better. I could have asked the old man in the clouds for better, but she would be just right. Sadowski 2 We met in Illinois near a hotel 8, strip club filled town called Rockford. The sight of crackheads on each corner improved her attractive level significantly. She was a pale skinned blonde girl from, Ohio, with a tattoo of the American flag across her wrist, about six inches in length. After small talk she gave me her phone number. I can remember watching my first movie, Cinderella, and being fascinated by the animations, storyline and characters. It may sound cliché but it made me feel so delighted and that all of my problems had simply disappeared. At first, it didn't occur to me how much an impact that Disney left in my life until I noticed how much I was surrounded by the culture. A part of me will always include my Disney side and it has taught me to become young at heart, have a positive outlook on life and to strive for a goal. Walt Disney said "Too many people grow up. That's the real trouble with the world...They forget. They don't remember what it's like to be 12 years old." Whether it was watching Disney movies, shows, or even going for a Disneyland trip, it allowed me to become young at heart. Every time I'm asked what do I love or what my hobbies are, all Disney related things come to mind. Because some people expect me to be more of an adult, the answer I will most likely get is, "Why? Isn't Disney just for kids?" or "You should grow up." But honestly, getting in touch with my Disney side lets me be myself and content. To me, the fairytales and magic that Disney has created in their theme parks and movies aren't meant to be just limited to young children. Instead, they were also designed for the ones who are young at heart as Walt Disney said in his opening speech, "To all who come to this happy place: Welcome. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 42. Reflective Essay About My Family I never realized how hard it'd be to come out, especially to family members. I have yet to come out to my parents, but I have to some of the other members of my family. My family isn't, let's just say "not" that supportive of that community. Having have heard the many things they've said about how they dislike the LGBTQIA+ community and people that are a part of it, I've still been scared to come out to them; with the fear of them not wanting me, or disowning me. That fear lurks within me, like a shadow that comes out during the night. During these years after I found out about my sexual orientation and my gender orientation, thinking of how i'd tell my parents is all that's been in my mind a lot. I'd sit for hours on end thinking about it. The thoughts of it echoed around my head each and every time it was brought up. I've tried to build up my confidence to come out to them, but it always ends up going downhill. When I said downhill, I meant that I'd either run away when I'd get close to asking them and saying "Oh nothing, nevermind." or I'd just think of ways around that idea and ignore it for days, months and even years. However, i've come out to other family members as well. I've only come out to some of many cousins that I have; other family members just found out because they're friends with me on Facebook. A song that makes me reassure my decisions, marking that this is my one chance and that, I got to make the most out of it with the risks I take. • 46. Comparing Two Love Poems The Passionate Shepard to His Love, written by Christopher Marlow is a sonnet about love and persuasion. Marlow is trying to persuade his crush to "come live" with him, and be his "love." Marlow's sonnet is very similar to the song Come on Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners, because they are both seduction pieces. In Come on Eileen, the singer is attempting to win his long time crush over, asking her to come run away with him. The choice of the words the singer and the poet say, convey that they cannot live without the person they love; which is one of the main themes of both pieces. Many devices are used in both works; one that is evident in both pieces is imagery. In Christopher Marlow's poem, he uses imagery to persuade his love to live with him. Marlow talks about the "finest wool" and a "thousand fragrant posies," as he tries to win his love over. In Come on Eileen, the singer uses imagery by persuading Eileen to not be like the "beaten–down" and "smoke– dried" people of her town; asking Eileen to run away with him and have a better life. Another device used is in both pieces is repetition. In The Passionate Shepard to His love, Marlow repeats the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 48. My Life Is The Most Important Choices In Life Analysis The world around us changes every day. It is the choice to whether we accept the change that will determine who we become. Once a week I sit on a bench in a park just off of 19th street. It is nothing special. A playground with a few swings with rusted chains, A slide with a bump in the middle, and a wooden park bench that is held together by the strength of two bolts. This park though at the surface appears to just be a park happens to be one of the most significant places in my life. Four years ago I had to make one of the most important decisions of my life. Whether I stay, living my life handicapped and in pain or if I leave, crossover into the next chapter of my life and live unrecompensed and without effort. What would seem to be an easy and obvious choice was nearly impossible to make. The fine print was what my choice lacked. The fine print was something I was not presented when the man in white gave me the choice. I had a week to make my choice. My grandparents came and visited me. They encouraged me to leave and go with them. They said they hurt too but when they left home it all went away. I knew it would not be long before Santa Clause come. He has to come because it is Christmas Eve. He always comes on Christmas Eve. Every Christmas Eve, my mother lets me open one or two presents. She also reads us a Christmas story. This Christmas Eve, I wonder what Santa Clause is doing at the North Pole as I read the Christmas story. I really want to go see Santa Clause, but I feel uncertain if I should go. I told myself that he would come, and Tiny Voice asked me what did I wish for. I told Tiny voice that I wanted to go to the North Pole to see Santa Clause and Mrs.Clause. Tiny Voice told me that I could go to the North Pole. Then Tiny voice handed me a pair of shoes and a light. At first, the shoes look like they did not fit. I slipped on the shoes, and they fitted me perfectly. As soon as I put the shoes on, I went up the chimney. I saw Jack Frost and the Star Beams busy working, trying to make the world look beautiful for Santa. Away I went, getting higher and higher. I was so high, I probably looked like a star in the sky. Maybe, I looked like an cloud in the sky. The bizarre part about my adventure to the North Pole is that I seem to know the way perfectly. I always went north. Never making any turns to the right or left. In my heart, I begin to feel like I was almost to the North Pole. I began to feel excited as I saw a bright light around me. My heart made me begin to make me feel happy and excited. I started feeling like I wanted to sing and laugh. I saw a path, so I followed the path. The path leads up to a big house with many windows. When I got up closer to the house, I saw many candles in the windows of the house. The candles were red, green, and yellow. I knew right then that those were Christmas candles to light my destiny. Initially, John Griffin the author of this book, shows how painful it is to be discriminated against due to someone 's skin color. He Also, he shows the ugliness of racists, and their personalities that have been distorted by hatred. While experiencing the events of this book, Griffin endures hate stares, threats, harassment, and humiliation. In retrospect, he is unable to find a job and, in accordance with segregation, he is also unable to use restrooms or enter many establishments due to the color of his skin. Through John 's experience, the only employment he was able to find was as a shoe shiner and he only found this due to the kindness of one man, a black man. Likewise, John also had to walk far out of his way just to be able to find a restroom or even a establishment to eat in, which are basic human needs. In like manner, John also learned that, racism even exists among blacks themselves, who value lighter skin over dark skin. Thus, making someone in your own race feel lesser, because they are darker, which is know better than the white racists in this book. Moreover, darker skin blacks were not only treated different by whites, but also by their own race. I'll tell you what I see. I look in the mirror and I see a person, Someone who stares back at me. But that is not me. That person is not who I want to be. That person is not who I am told to be. Growing up, I always knew I was "different". At a young age, I had to face my affliction. Cruelly enlightened, I had to realize that my hair was not the shimmering rays of the sun, And that my eyes were not the reflection of an American sky. For me, It was apparently, more obvious. Same old, Plain old: Coffee bean eyes, Nut–brown hair; Plain and boring. Yet, I was made aware of another divider: Descendant ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 65. Just bring those who care, Don't let others kill us with their glares. Follow us, Imitate us. We are the colours, We are the hyphens; Hear our chant. In our individualism, We can still find patriotism. "America, The Beautiful": Land of Liberty and Prosperity. In the end, We just want to blend. Give us respect. Don't select, Based on retrospect. We are like you, But with an addition: With a hyphen. Give us consideration, Like the rest of the nation. Don't base me off a modern "White Man's Burden": Don't base us on their burden, We have our own. This is my nation, This my land, This is also your land, This is also your nation. Let us blend, And defend, The claims they send. All we want is respect, All we ask is for you to acknowledge us. All I want is to be known, But as an American who was born in America, With blood that has traveled, With ancestors who did not live to see this land: As the girl with brown hair, As the girl with brown eyes, As the girl who tells you. Yells and sells, The story of me; The story of us; The story of my brethren; The story of the Coloured– Americans: The story of the Hyphenated– Americans.

  • 68. Name: Come live with me and be my love Essay Name Come live with me and be my love Focus: Marlowe's use of words in communicating the meaning of the poem and how his poem is a memorable one. The poem "come live with me and be my love" is a love poem written by Christopher Marlowe, persuading his love to come and spend some time with him. It is a poem full of romantic and passionate words that form natural imagery to convey the poet's feelings and what he means. By the way the poet uses words to persuade his love, makes the poem similar to the poem, "To his coy mistress". In the first stanza, the poet says, "Come live with me and be my love". He just says "come" and does not add "please" to show her a bit of urgency but in a polite or calm tone. He stresses on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This sentence he has made also involves nature to show how he really wants them to relax. He also uses the word, "seeing" to show to her that it is only for pleasure. He then says, "By shallow rivers to whose falls". The poet uses the word, "river" because the river is indeed a peaceful and quiet place to be and that that is what he wants. Then he says "Melodious birds sing madrigals". Again he uses a natural imagery to create a nice impression in his love's mind. In this stanza, the poet is just beginning to try to capture his love's mind with calm and passionate natural imagery. "And I will make thee beds of roses and a thousand fragrant posies". Although the persona is using natural imagery to capture his love's mind still, over here he uses this allusion to convince his love to come and live with him. He uses this allusion because he knows that roses cannot be made out posies no matter the amount, he wants to show to his love that he loves her so much that he would do something impossible and something that could take forever. In the next two sentences, he says, "A cap of flowers, and a kirtle Embroidered all with leaves of myrtle" to explain to his love that if she comes to live with him, he would make her a kirtle (a skirt made with leaves) of myrtle. He shows her that it would be a beautiful one when he uses the word, "Flowers". Also, in this stanza, he uses natural imagery to convince his love.

So how do I protect someone that doesn't want me to protect her? The date on the board in the dream was the last day of school. I need to help her within three days and somehow change something before three days pass. I must convince the most popular girl in my grade to not come to the last day of her sophomore year. The task may be impossible. I glance at the clock. Four in the morning. That is two hours before my alarm and I need rest. I curl myself tighter into a ball and fall back asleep, praying the nightmare doesn't come back and instead I am allowed to rest. At 6 AM, my alarm blares and I roll over. Can you tell me where she is or not?" I ask, but I know I don't need a response when I hear her behind me. "Luke? Why are you talking to another girl?" her voice sounds jealous and I immediately know I could be in serious trouble if I don't say something fast. "Hi." I spin around and face her. "Zayla Maslin. You enjoy spending time torturing me. May I have a moment to talk to you about the last day of school?" Brittany gives me a similar look to the one I got from Luke, grabs my arm, and pulls me away from her friends. She looks around as if checking that no one is watching and finally brings her attention back to me. "Why do you look different and what do you need to talk to me about? I can not be seen interacting with you." "You are in danger. You can't come to school Friday. I know it is the last day for you, but it isn't worth it. You could get seriously hurt if you come." My voice was quiet. I didn't want it getting out that I knew something about the future or in this case, believed that I did. It hadn't come true yet, but it was always the same. When I started college I felt insecure of myself and my ability to be able to grasp the material that was presented to me to learn. Feeling discouraged was a big obstacle for me, I felt out of place because of my age and I also started with remedial classes. Because I was not a good writer when I was in high school I failed my first writing class, after I failed the class I was ready to quit college, I went home and told my daughter and she expressed to me that I needed to stay positive and that in life we face many challenges and that we were the only ones that were in control of our destines. She gave me the encouragement and motivation to keep going with my education. I know now I have more faith in my capability to deal with difficult situations and circumstances, thanks to my daughter's motivation. According to Manuel (2006), Sparrow demonstrated year after year, with his social commentaries that the calypsonian is really the eyes and ears of the people. Aldwyn Roberts, better known as 'Lord Kitchener', shares with Mighty sparrow the title of the world's best known Calypso singer (Manuel, 2006). Aldwyn Roberts was the son of a blacksmith, Stephen, and homemaker Albertha. Kitchener's success began after he moved to England in 1948. His fame continued throughout the 1950s, when calypso achieved international success (wikipedia.org). He began his career in Trinidad and won his first Road March award for singing in 1946. He and the Mighty Sparrow proceeded to dominate the calypso competitions of the sixties and seventies. It has been stated that Lord Kitchener won the road march competition ten times between 1965 and 1976, more times than any other calypsonian. In the 1950s, he explored West Africa and enjoyed a big hit there with his single, "Nora". • 82. My First Love Story ' Come Fly With Me ' As I lay on the side of a pothole filled road, leaking through my torn Kevlar jacket. I graze my neck with my index finger. Then run my finger across a slit running across my neck from the right side of my carbon fiber helmet to my left shoulder. I imagine a better place. Maybe dinner tonight with my pretty lady and some deep dish sausage and onion pizza. I see Frank Sinatra with pulled back brown hair, a top hat and a black suit with a red bow tie standing upon the stage. He starts singing, "Come Fly with Me". My first love story may not be like the typical Romeo and Juliet, but hey to say the least it is a love story and "MY" love story. Now, I have never had a girlfriend. Until I met her at the age of sixteen. She was an alright little darling about a seven on a scale of one to ten. She was smart, skinny, and had a moderate look at day. Maybe if you saw her at night after a few cocktails she would look better. I could have asked the old man in the clouds for better, but she would be just right for a first timer. We met in Chicago near a hotel 8, strip clubby town called Rockford. The sight of crackheads on each corner improved her attractive level significantly. She was a pale skinned blonde girl with a tattoo of the American flag across her wrist, about six inches in length. After small talk she gave me her number. Joy rushed through my body, I finally felt happy for once. We met the next day for about fifteen minutes. She drove over to my house. I had ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
