Examples of my engineering projects.

1. Gold Corp. Penasquito Mine Mexico M3 Engineering & Construction I designed reinforced concrete masonry/steel buildings with clear spans of 70 feet for this project using Mexican wind and seismic codes (in Spanish). I also conducted structural surveys, designed repairs, and designed new structures and buildings for Asarco, Freeport McMoran and BHP Billiton.

2. Searchlight Minerals Clarkdale Slag Project Clarkdale, AZ Cimetta Engineering & Construction. In addition to being the project manager for most of this project, I completed surveys and structural designs for other mining clients. I designed the leaching unit, above, in modular form for easy shipment and installation. I designed the modifications to the existing building to support this 50 ton vibratory mill. 3. UOP, LLC. Modular Continuous Catalyst Recovery (CCR) Unit. All equipment, piping, wiring, instruments, etc. are installed in the shop, and the completed modules are shipped to the site to be erected - as the photo shows. While working at UOP, I both designed and sold several of these units.

4. While at UOP, LLC, I a) worked with our general contractor to estimate and price the project; b) with assistance from a colleague and the general contractor we sold the project; and c) I was the project manager for the year-long, fast track project. During this year I also sold three additional multi-million dollar projects. The Project. Aux Sable Liquid Products. 40,000 barrels per day gasoline treating unit. $5 million installed cost.

5. Fermilab. Gimli Enterprises, Inc. As President of Gimli, my staff and I assisted the staff of Fermilab in the design of various structures and test equipment which were used in high energy particle experiments .

6. Braidwood Generating Station. Braidwood, IL I worked on the design of this electric generating station, and can recall visiting the site when the reactor for Unit 2 was positioned on the ground, waiting to be installed in the containment building (the cylindrical structures) I have 15 years experience designing industrial plants including those of the magnitude and sophistication of this nuclear electric generating plant.
