The document discusses using the Parse Template component in Mule to load a template file containing MEL expressions into the payload. It provides examples of using values from the payload, flow variables, and inbound properties in the template. It then gives an example of using a parse template to load an external file and populate fields in it with values from the Mule message before setting it as the payload.

Web Component Development Using Servlet & JSP Technologies (EE6) - Chapter 4...WebStackAcademy
Setting up a servlet environment
Servlets are Java programs that run on a Web server and build Web pages. Here are a few definitions:
Servlet Development Kits
Java Servlet Development Kit (JSDK) provides Servlet API classes (servlet.jar). Place servlet.jar into CLASSPATH, so that java classes can access it.
Servlet Engines
A servlet is a Java class that needs to be executed in a Java VM by servlet engine. The servlet engine loads the servlet class the first time the servlet is requested. The servlet then stays loaded to handle multiple requests until it is explicitly unloaded or the servlet engine is shut down.
Following are few WebServers that supports servlets:
Apache Tomcat
BEA WebLogic
IBM Websphere
Sun's Java Web Server (JWS)
Apache Tomcat.
Java Servlet Development Kit (JSDK)
Http Service will help us fetch external data, post to it, etc. We need to import the http module to make use of the http service. Let us consider an example to understand how to make use of the http service.

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.
Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

2. The Parse Template component loads a file into the Mule payload. The
'Parse Template' transformer parses a template file that can contain
MEL expressions and places the resulting string into the message
payload. We can use the payload, flowVars and inboundproperties in
the template to create the dynamic content.
3. Use Case 1:
When we want to prepare the payload to be used by the Web
Service Consumer or for a SOAP request.
Use Case 2 :
When we want to create a template for emailing.
Use Case 3 :
There are other scenarions where it can be useful , such as
returning HTML to a client from an HTTP transport. We can load
an HTML file into the payload that includes embedded MEL.
Samples of MEL that we can define in template.
#[message.inboundProperties.'http.query.params'.name]
#[flowVars.syn_accountNumber]
#[payload[0]['order_no']]
4. Let’s walk through how to use JSON Schema validator in Mule
application.
In this example we are receiving the order through HTTP call from the
end user , We are using a parse template to load a file from an external
location – a file which, behaving as a template, expects values for
"order number" ,"Order Description" and "order provisioning date"
.The parse template extracts info from the Mule message variables to
insert as values into the template and set the resulting contents as the
message payload.
